Recommend Found

After an uneventful drive to Linden, we picked up Carol's sister, Nyleen, and drove to the Timpanogos temple. After the session, we took Nyleen home.  Carol changed her clothes.  Nyleen had a sack lunch for us which we ate on the way home. 

I took a picture of the shrub next to her house.  Nyleen broke three stems off the shrub.  I put them in the cooler.  We then drove straight home.  I was shredding a oatmeal mush box. There was bunch of ward bulletins. I picked them up and found my temple recommend.  What a surprise.  

The glass humming bird feeder was empty. I got it down and Carol put more sugar water in it. I brought it back and hung it up.

This morning, we drove to Fillmore.   Carol brought a whole bunch of birthday cards at the drug store.  

She then went to KEENEYE Family vision which was next door to have her eyes checked.  The photo is the waiting room. They gave her some medication; from there we went to the Fillmore market and bought some groceries.  Then we stopped at LOVE'S and got some gas for the lawn mower. And then it was home. This evening, I watered most of the plants.  We are going to the Mount Timpanogos temple in the morning.

Carol had an appointment with an eye doctor to have an eye exam.  We got our morning chores done.  The Phone rang.  Her appointment was cancelled.  We did a lot of watering in the yard and gardens because it would be late when we got home from Ephraim.  Carol suggested that I mow the backyard lawn in the morning.

I decided to mow it this afternoon. The mower did a good job.  The grass is a pretty green.

Monday

This has been a regular morning

I went out to greenhouse two and dead headed the dahlias.

I took the weed eater out to greenhouse one and cut down all of the red root weeds.

The flowers in the dahlia garden are looking very pretty. 

Recommend

After our church meetings, I went to the clerk's office.  I went into a classroom with a member of the bishopric.  The date that I was issued a temple recommend was on his cell phone.  It was over a year ago.  He touched a button on his phone and recommend was printed.  He put it a plastic envelope and gave it to me.  I put in my suit pocket.

This evening, I watered the tomato plants in greenhouse one.  I also picked a dahlia flowers.  Carol made a beautiful vase of flowers.

This morning we drove to Fillmore to get some lay pellets for the chickens.

  This is where a problem began.  I went into the store to pay for the pellets; I used my phone to pay.  I put the phone on the scanner in every direction.  It didn't work.  I went out to the car to get some cash to pay for the pellets.  She said to use my credit card.  I did and paid the bill.  We then came home.  I watered the plants on the front porch; I also watered the geraniums with the sprinklers. I watered some of the plants in the north garden. The photos below tell the rest of the story.

I dug a small ditch next the tomato plants and filled it with water with the garden hose.

I Couldn't Fix it.

 

This morning, we drove to Fillmore. Carol had a new battery put in her watch.   We filled the car with gas.  We bought some groceries, and then bought a part for the garden timer.

I watered all of the sweet corn.

I hooked a garden hose to the hose bibb. I watered the tomato plants in greenhouse one.  I hooked up the drip tape to the timer several times,  When I turned on the water, the end cap came off.

Parade

This morning, we didn't have breakfast.  We watched one of our morning TV shows, we fed the cats. Carol is going to be in the parade representing the DUP.   Carol, drove up to the street where the parade will start.  I drove the car back to the church and backed into a parking spot.  It was in a driveway.  I parked it a little to the west.  Surprise.  Lisa Gray parked next to me.  We didn't know that she was coming.  We then had breakfast.  

Recommend Mystery

We were up pretty early this morning.  After breakfast we got in our car and headed north for Lindon where we picked up Nyleen, Carol's sister.  I parked the car and walked to the temple door.  I always have my recommend in the left inside pocket of my suite.  It wasn't there.  I gave my name and birthdate to man at the desk.  They determined that I had a recommend.

Irrigation Water

It was a little after eight when Robert came.  We get in my truck and drove up to the ditch.  Robert shut the gate and the water started.  The irrigation went well.  Our yard and gardens got a good watering.  We started the water in the orchard, and everything there got a good watering.  We ate lunch.  It was nearly two when we let the water go to Tony.

Robert is digging a small ditch that takes the water to the orchard.  We are going to the temple in the morning.  I made old fashion oatmeal mush.  I won't have to make it in the morning.

Started Sprinkling

The were a lot of earwigs this morning on the back porch.  Carol got the fly swatter and killed a lot of them, I watered the baskets and tubs on the front porch.   It rained a little this afternoon.  Started sprinkling the front lawn,

Got the pipes ready today for our irrigation turn in the morning.  I fixed the small pipe.  Called Robert.  He will come in the morning to help with the irrigation.
