Sunday Morning

We watched the morning session of conference.  The speakers and the choir were really good.  Carol cooked a couple of beef Stakes.  We also had baked potatoes. We then watched the afternoon session of conference.  We thought that they would announce a new president of the church, but they didn't.  That will probably be done after the funeral of President Nelson.  This evening, we watched TV.  I watered some of the plants.  Most of the speakers spoke of the divinity of Jesus Christ.  Calico showed up tonight.  Carol gave some cat food and water.

Gas Line

I watched the morning news this morning.  After breakfast I watched the morning TV shows.  When that was over, we drove to Fillmore and filled the car with gas.  We then bought some groceries and then went home.  We had warm overs for lunch.  I watered the plants.

I called the gas company yesterday. They said that they would turn on the gas today which was yesterday.  I went out and checked it this afternoon.  It wasn't turned on.
I picked three ears of sweet corn, we had it for supper.  it was really good.

More Tomatoes

After I dressed, I made a new batch of old fashion mush.  Carol got up, started the washing machine and the showered.  We watched some of the morning TV shows.  At ten, we watched a tribute to President to President Russel M. Nelson recently died.  The talks and music were inspiring.  The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square performed.  Carol made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.  After lunch I picked more tomatoes.  We are taking some for-Carol's sister in Linden.   The patio was covered with leaves.  I got the cordless blower and began to blow off the leaves.  The battery died before I finished,  I used a shovel to remove most off the leaves.  Behind a large plywood board there was a dead cat.  It had been there a long time.  All that was left were bones and fur.

I took it out to the south garden and buried it.  I have buried several cats there.  The above photo doesn't show the skull.

Tomatoes

After breakfast I picked tomatoes.  Carol washed them and set them out to dry, later this morning we drove to Fillmore.  We stopped at the drug store.  Carol bought a bunch of birthday cards.  There was a short older woman there.  She had on a face mask, and she wanted to visit with Carol.  We then went to the Fillmore market and bought some groceries.  That same woman was there also.  We avoided her.  We then came home, and

I went out to the south garden and picked some peaches and sweet corn.  I five pretty good ears.  Carol cooked two ears for supper.

Carol started preparing the tomatoes.  She put them in boiling water for a short time.  She then pulled of the skin and put them in quart bottles.  They were put in pan of boiling water where they boiled for 50 minutes, We had sweet corn and omelets for supper.   Elisabeth called.  Carol answered.  She talked for some time and then I talked to Elisabeth.
