Off to Fillmore

We were up early this morning because we are going to the Timpanogos temple.  It was a little before we drove out of Holden.  It was just getting light.  Instead of stopping at the home of Miles and Nyleen, drove straight to the temple.  I was a little odd not to have the Batty's with us.  After the session stopped at the home of Miles and Nyleen Batty.  Miles had down to steps and suffered severe back injuries.  He was lying in a hospital bed.  Nyleen made us a sack lunch.  We drove straight home while eating part of the lunch.  We stopped at the post office and picked up the mail.  There was two small bowels green salad.  I then drove to Roper's in Fillmore and bought a thermostat for the greenhouse five.  When i got home I carefully removed the thermostat and directions.  If it wouldn't work if could return it.

I watched a you tube video and watched someone explain how to install it in the greenhouse.   It was way too complicated.

This photo shows where the wire from the thermostat is hooked up to the furnace.
This photo the two wires hooked to the thermostat.  The wires are very small.
This Amarilis was in the house, I dumped it on a bench in greenhouse five to see if there any pups growing near the roots.  I there was I would try to grow them.  There wasn't any.   I put it back in the pot.
I set on a chair and this small gray would jump up on my lap.  Richard came tonight.  Carol made funeral potatoes,

Off to Richfield

I had an appointment with a medical professional in Richfield early this afternoon.  Mush, eggs, and toast for breakfast. We also watched the morning news and TV shows.  It was about elven when we left Holden.  We were early for my appointment.  It was on the second floor of the hospital.  A maintenance man was fixing the elevator.  We had to wait for about ten minutes.  We then went right into the exam room.  On the way home we stopped at the Top Spot in Salina.  We bought hamburgers, fries, and drinks. There were several spots where I could of taken some pictures, but I didn't.

The cat, Blg Yellow was dead.  I put on some gloves and pulled him out of the cat house.  I put him into an empty cat food bag and took him to the dump.

A Cold Day

We were up early this morning.  I got in the show and used the body wash and shampoo.  I got out of the shower and there were no bath towels to dry me.  I went into the laundry room to see if the towels were in the dryer. They weren't there.  I found a towel in the other bathroom.  I was able to dry myself.  I said my morning prayers and shaved.  We are going to the Mt. Timpanogos temple. I then put on my suit and began to fix breakfast.  I fed the cats.  The drive to Linden was uneventful.  We picked up the Batty's.  We had a good session and then took the Batty's home.  We then drove home without stopping anywhere.

Surprise and More

Lisa stayed with us all night.  Her light was on when I got up.  I turned up the temperature and then went back to my room.  I showed, dressed, shaved and said my prayers.  By now Carol and Lisa were up.  I opened the blinds.  There was a big truck backed up to the sidewalk north of the house.  There were two men.  They rang the doorbell. Lisa went to the door.  They came in and with a strap that went under the old fridge and over their shoulders they picked up the fridge and took it out the front door to their truck. Lisa and Carol cleaned up the spot where the old fridge was placed.  The two men brought the new fridge in.  Carol took me to the hospital for some blood work.  The following pictures are about the activities of the day.

I checked house five where big yellow was having a nap.  I watered some of the plants.
The days and nights are cold.  Some of the water in house four that goes to the chickens is frozen.
Carol is standing in front of the new fridge and balloons that gives her age.
Lisa and Carol are removing the packing material from the new fridge.
Here the workers are sliding the fridge into the spot where the old fridge was.

All the food in the old fridge is on the kitchen table.   Lisa and I fixed the front screen door.  We made three trips to the hardware store to get all of the parts.  It is now fixed.

Snow Again

This is the third morning that we woke up to snow.  the most was three mornings ago.  There was 2.5 inches on the driveway.  This morning there was just a trace of snow.

This evening before it was dark I checked greenhouses five and six. The plant at the left was given to us by Lisa.  It had pretty flowers. It looked like it died before I could take it out to greenhouse five.  I took it out anyway.  A month ago, I could see some new growth.  I pruned all of the dead stems.

Old Friend

We were home watching TV when the doorbell rang, and it was CR Charlesworth.  He sales produce and some other items. We haven't seen him for a long time.  He said that we haven't been home.  After he left I waked out to greenhouse five.  I hope to plant onions, radishes, green arrow peas.

The pomegranate bush froze when the furnace failed to turn on.  The leave came off.  the photo shows a pretty sick looking plant.  The stems and branches look like the will be okay.  As the days get longer, new leaves should begin to grow.
