Two Day Event

Sunday started the same as most Sunday mornings. Up, weighed, showered, shaved and prayers. But oh different this Sunday ended.  We had our usual breakfast, and scripture reading, I put in my dentures and Carol drove me to church for choir practice.  Practice went well.  Carol came in as the choir closed their practice with a prayer.  I walked down and set with her on fourth bench, The sacrament speaker gave good talks.  We were going to the relief society room for our Sunday class work.  I usually prepare the microphones for the meeting in the chapel. Today, I didn't need to. I stood up and started to leave and an odd feeling came over me. There were some people close to me and helped me to the foyer where I laid down on a sofa there.  There were three of four nurses there.  I needed to go the rest room.  Carol went in with me.  The deification seemed to be normal. They had called for an ambulance, and it was there with a gurney. There were three or four police who were also there.  The ambulance headed for the Fillmore hospital with light flashing.  The ER people in the ambulance were checking my vital signs.
Carol took this picture as I entered the ER.  She was with me all of the time. It took quite a while before the got a room ready for me.  I wanted a more pictures. That didn't happen.  They hooked me up to a lot of machines the checked my vital signs.  The checked my glucose three or four times during the night and again during the next day.  They checked my blood pressure during the night and again the next day. Was told to collect my pee, so I called a nurse helped me do that.  I usually sleep on my right side.  I adjusted the bed so I could sleep on my side.  I woke up every hour or so during the night. Later in the night I would ring for the nurse, and nobody came. So, I just got up and unhooked the wires and then went to the restroom.  This time and for the rest of the day I peed in the toilet.

Fillmore Market

I was a little late getting up this morning, but I did have time to shower, say my prayers, shave.   I fed the cats and started breakfast of old fashion oatmeal mush.  I fried an egg for Carol.  I watched four wood working shows.  We then picked up the mail at the post office.  We drove to Fillmore and bought some groceries at the Fillmore Market. We then went to the drugstore where Carol bought birthday cards.  The Saturday TV shows are mainly cooking shows.  We had hot dogs for lunch, and ice cream for dessert.  I took some hot water to greenhouse six to melt the water for the chickens.  It did not freeze in house six last night.

I took a bag of frozen grapes for the chickens in house six. I scattered them around.
Another photo of one white rooster and two white hens.  We watched more channel seven programing.  I went back the greenhouses just before dark, The chickens in house six were beginning to roost on the pipes from the furnace.  I threw out an old dried-up piece of toast. Some chickens jumped down to eat the toast. I covered the cutting in house five with a piece of black plastic. I watered the peas that we planted a couple of days ago.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Planting Started

I made a new batch of old-fashioned oatmeal mush this morning.  I feed the cats.  I then fixed breakfast.  After breakfast I read another chapter in the Book of Mormon.  Later, Carol got the mail.  We then watched the three movies on channel 44.  I had spaghetti for lunch.

I took several pictures of the three white chickens.  The one above is the best photo.
This photo shows the white chickens and the roosters.
This is the last chicken photo.
I got a whole bunch of trays from the shed. They were pretty dirty.
I planted yolo peppers and celebratory tomatoes. There were 30 tomato seeds in the packet.  The rest of the cells are yolo seeds. It took the whole tray. I need to buy more celebratory tomato seeds.
I moved the tray away from the planting bench.

I gently sprayed them with the garden hose. Then I put them on the heating mat.

I made omelets for supper.  Carol cooked all of the vegetables and cooked the bacon   Each omelet takes two eggs.

We watched TV until we went to bed.

Timpanogos Temple

We were up early this morning. We had breakfast and then drove to American Fork.  We met Miles and Nyleen Batty at their home.  We then drove to the Timpanogos Temple.  We were there for the 9:30 session.  It was a good session.  After the session we drove back to the home. We visited awhile. Carol put on her street clothes.   Nyleen prepared a sack lunch for us.  We bought a few things at Sam's Club.  We ate the lunch on the way home.  It was little after two when we got home.  Everything was good in the greenhouses. The chickens in house five drinking water because the ice had melted in the water container.

We watched TV until we went to bed.

Robert Helped

Someone from the dental office called last night and wanted me to come in at 7:30 instead of eight. I ate my old-fashioned oatmeal mush and fried me and egg.  I to the dental office right on time.  As usual, I had about a fifteen-minute wait.  The purpose of this visit was to receive my implants. They worked on my bottom jaw for a long time.  Finally, they were in.  The instructions was to take them out each night and put them back in, in the morning.  I ate spaghetti for lunch. I chewed everything and ended up with spaghetti around my new implants. I was able to rinse my mouth and get most of the chewed-up pieces.

Robert was here around ten.  He brought three small black and white chickens. One rooster and two hens.
This photo shows two roosters and one small hen.
We move one of the benches to the north side of house five.
We moved a table to the working area which is in the northeast corner of house five.
Robert started ten plants.  They are setting on top of a heating pad.
He laid out his tools and seeds.
Here Robert is tilling a spot six feet from the south wall of house five.
He planted little marble pea seeds.  Here he is watering them.
Robert is bringing the heavy dracaena plant to house five. He is pulling it through the snow.  He took all of the plants that were in the garage.

Good Roosters

The alarm light came on this morning a little before five.  I got up and turned off the light.  I made a mental note to unplug the timer for one hour and twenty minutes.  I went back to bed and got up at 6:20. I showered, said my prayers and shaved.  I started a batch of old-fashioned oatmeal mush. I fed the cats and started breakfast.  After breakfast I watched three channel 44 movies. I got some mail.  Carol fixed a spaghetti dinner, which was very good.

I walked out to house six.   The chickens seemed to be okay.

The light was still on, and it was in the early afternoon.
I walked back to house six with a little tie wire.  I bent the wire so it would reach a part of each door.  The door remains closed from the inside.
Another photo.
Roosters are eating the lay pellets.
All four rooster in the same photo eating the lay pellets.
I put the house garbage in the trunk and took it to the dumpster.   We watched TV until we went to bed.

Snow Cleanup

I got up this morning and did my morning chores.  I fed the cats and fixed breakfast.

After breakfast I started to push the snow off the driveway.  Somebody pushed off some of the snow earlier or late yesterday evening. You can't tell from the photo.  I put on my boots and went to work.
I cleaned it off clear to the road.
I then went to the front sidewalk.  Somebody started to remove snow the earlier.  There is an edge on both sides of the sidewalk that is easly to see.
It didn't take me very long on this short sidewalk.  I poured salt on the frozen ice closer to the door.
I thought that this arborvitae was a pretty picture.  It might look good on a Christmas card.  I went into the house and watched two shows on channel 44. I then to the post office and got the mail.  Carol went to the dentist.  They put a crown on a broken tooth.
I took a bucket of hot water out to greenhouse six. I broke the ice with a hammer and dumped it on the ground. I poured hot water in the watering container.  It looks like a rooster is eating some of the chipped ice.  The roosters did not seem to be hurt any by the freezing temperature.
Then the rooster takes a drink from the warm water in the container.
Carol washed the sheets.  She then washed my two pillows.  They broke apart.  I put them in the black garbage bag.  I probably will take them to the dump tomorrow.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Snow & Sabath

It was a usual morning except for the snow that fell during the night.  It was lightly snowing most of the day. I will clean the driveway in the morning.  There was only a trace.  Carol got up and showered, I turned on the radio and listened to church pregaming.  I fixed breakfast.  After breakfast I made tapioca pudding. I then got ready for choir practice.  We are having a frozen casserole for dinner.  I set the temperature, the amount of time, and the time for the oven to come on.  I made an hour starting time mistake. It was supposed to start at eleven, but it started at twelve.  When we go home, we had to wait for a little over an hour before we could eat. Carol took me to choir practice.   Sacrament speakers did a good job.  We had priesthood meeting and Carol had relief society meeting. We had a good dinner.  I took a larger pitcher of had water to give to the roosters in house six.  There water was not frozen, which was a surprise to me.

I poured in the hot water and two of the roosters were getting a drink of the warm water.
This was a photo of the snow that I took from the front porch.
I opened the garage door and got the picture.
I checked on the chickens. There was one egg laying on the ground of the front henhouse.  It was frozen. I lifted the lid of the nesting box and got two eggs.  This makes a total of three eggs today. The egg in the top right is the frozen egg.  We had a little supper. We watched TV until we went to bed.
