Saturday

After breakfast I got the weed eater and started cutting weeds south of greenhouse two. Here I could see a tap that was running water, The ground was muddy in that area, I shut the water off. I continued to cut weeds going north between greenhouses one and two. I turned on the water for the potatoes growing in greenhouse two. I did that several times I continued to cut weeds to the north until the battery died. I turned on the water on the front lawn east of the sidewalk. I watered the plants and baskets that were on the front porch. We moved some of the plants that were on the front porch into the house. I moved the cart that contained the bedding plant into the garage. 

The well is Fixed

Regular morning. After breakfast, I picked green arrow peas. Carol shelled them. After lunch we picked up Alisha. There were two trucks parked north of greenhouse two. They belonged to the well fixing people. Carol let me off and walked out to the well. I said that we were going to Fillmore. They said that it would be fixed by the time that we would be fixed.   

We filled the car with gas. It didn't take much. We bought groceries at the Fillmore market. Carol got some medication at the drug store. Alisha wanted to get some onion rings at a little portable shop in Fillmore. When we got back their trucks were still there. Later the doorbell rang, It was one of the workers who said it was fixed. We turned on a tap. there was water. I watered the baskets, the corn, the onions and Carol's dahlias.

At the Temple

After a good breakfast we drove to the Payson, Utah Temple. We had a good session. As we walked out the door Lisa showed met us. Carol gave Lisa, Melisa's money. On the way we stopped at Wendy's and got Hamburgers. fry's, drinks and chicken nuggets. We then stopped in Nephi for ice cream cones and then drove home. I called the guy who is going to fix our well. He is busy and one of our neighbors wants to be there when he comes. It may take several weeks for every can there the same time.

Not Fixed

Up this morning. I fed the cats and made three bowels of old fashion oatmeal mush. We watched the channel seven TV shows, I hooked up the drip line for the dahlia plants.

I had spaghetti and cheese for lunch.

I watered the plants in greenhouse five. I picked some peas and gave them to Carol. The fire alarm sounded. Carol and I drove around town. There was a fire truck was backed into some one's yard. There were some irrigation ditches that we saw. There was not much water running.

May Fix Well

A thought came to me during the night. I could hire one of Adam's kids to do the irrigating.

This morning Carol went to her exercise class. While she was gone, I read another chapter from the Book of Mormon. When she got back, she asked me if anyone knocked on the door. I didn't know. She said that there was a truck parked north of greenhouse one. I hurried out there. I met three men in front of greenhouse five. We talked some about the well. The then asked our neighbor if they could take their equipment across her property to the well. She must have given permission because they haven't come back. 

I got the weed eater and cut down the weeds and grass north of the greenhouses.

Payson Temple

This morning started as usual. Up at 6:20, put on my suit. Carol was up. We had breakfast and then left for Payson where we had a 9:40 appointment. We don't go to that temple, so we didn't know our way around, but there were plenty of temple workers that showed us where to go. After the session we stopped at Walmart and bought some tomato and some pepper plants. We then drove home. I took the plants out greenhouse five and gave them a good watering. 

We Carol made more sugar water for the hummingbirds.

Orem

We were invited to attend the sealing of Holden and Megan and their children. Weve drove to Orem this afternoon. We were early so we went the slow way. I thought that we were going the wrong way, but Carol new where we were going. We then drove to the temple parking lot. We went into the temple and showed our recommends. We were directed to the marriage waiting room. Then we went into the sealing room. It was a wonderful spiritual experience. We then went outside and waited for Holden and his family, We got on some steps while a photographer took lots of pictures.  It was cold. I got a few pictures. 

The Orem temple. We stopped at Sam's Club for groceries. We then stopped at Wendy's for some sandwiches. The last stop was for ice cream cones in Nephi. We had a wonderful day.

Three Drops

Last night we had pancakes for supper. This morning we ate some of the leftover pancakes. I also made a fresh old fashion oatmeal mush. There were a few drops of rain. This afternoon I got out the weed-eater and cut down a lot of the weeds north of the greenhouses, I put plastic grocery bags and then put on my old shoes. It was much easier to walk around. I planted two pots with Ranunclus starts. They are in greenhouse six. There are two starts in one pot and three starts in the other pot.

This is a grape vine in greenhouse five that has some buds.

This cactus bloomed a while ago and there are three buds about ready to bloom again.

Fillmore

This morning after breakfast, we watched the morning TV shows. I tried to post the most recent photos. I wasn't able to post them.  This afternoon we drove to Fillmore. We stopped at the market and bought some groceries. This evening I drove on main street looking for a place the guy with the drick could go in and pull the old water pump and replace it with a new one, I found a good place. I stopped and explained it to her. She seemed to be okay with it,

Carol made pancakes for supper, We haven't had pancakes for a long time. They were very good.

Sheet Time

We spent most of the morning washing the sheet and remaking the beds.  Carol went to exercise class. I worked in my tablet. After I did a game, it would go an advertisement and then it would take a long time to get a new game. I went online to see if I could find something that would help. There was a lady on You Tube that talked so fast that it didn't help much. I rebooted my tablet and selected a new game, It has been working ever since. It didn't matter if I won or lost. I went outside and walked to the end of the driveway. I could see Neil Stevens truck parked by the greenhouses. After a while he said that the well was fixed. There wasn't any water running on the front lawn. I walked up to the well. The valve on the exit pipe was turned off. I turned it on and the water started running, I went to the garden and turned the water on the onions. They got a good watering. I turned the water on the corn and the water stopped. I called Neil and he came over. He tried to get the well pumping, but he wasn't successful. He concluded that the pump at the bottom of the well needed to be replaced.

Laptop Problems

 

This morning I turned on the morning news. I then fed the and made a batch of old fashion oatmeal mush. After breakfast we watched the channel seven programing. After a while Richard came to get his four-wheeler. We went out to the well. He was able to push the red button; The pump came on for few seconds and then it stopped. He did it several times. It still didn't work. He loaded the. four-wheeler the trailer. Carol made us some good egg salad for lunch. Richard said his good-byes and then left. 

As soon as he left, Niel Stevens came by. He offered to fix the gray box that directs the electricity to the well.  I am unable to download some photos to my laptop.

May Day

 

We drove to Fillmore this morning, we filled the car with gas and then went to the feed store where I bought some Peaches and Cream sweet corn seed. I planted two rows in the garden. I tried to water it, but for some reason water pump did not turn on.  There are two red buttons, under a gray metal box. They are hard to push; I couldn't push them. 

Temple Again

 

We left early this morning for the Timpanogos temple. We were on a different session, and the temple workers were different than the Thursday session workers. After the session we went to the Timpanogos Hospital and visited Nyleen, Carol's sister. On the way home we stopped at Sam's Club got some groceries. We then drove home. This afternoon Richard Darnel put the belt on my lawnmower. I then mowed the front lawn.

Well not Fixed

It was soon after breakfast that the guys came to fix the well came.  Their conclusion was there was no power at the well. Later I was able to find a person that might be able to fix it.  

Rain Like Hail

 It rained much of the night. After breakfast, we watched the morning TV shows. Carol went her exercise class. While she was gone, I tried to tune in the TV show called Rosemary and Thyme. I could not do it. We then drove to Fillmore and filled the car with gas. We stopped at Roper's and bought some lightbulbs. We came home and Carol made some roast beef sandwiches. I read another chapter in the Book of Mormon. We went for a ride around Holden; we didn't see any gardens that we planted.  My brother, Ray called. He reported that Marylin, Paul's mother is near death. Amy, Nyleen's daughter called. Nyleen fell down two steps in her front room. She laid there for four hours. Amy called the police. They had to break down the door to get in the house.  She is now in the hospital. 

Sunday

 

It has been a wonderful day. It rained some during the night. When we went to church this morning, the sun was shining and the sky was mostly clear. After the meeting we went home to a good dinner. We watched the Sunday morning TV shows. It began to rain some more. It began to rain some more. I walked out to greenhouse five in the rain and watered the row of peas. Robert called. He had good news about Holden and his family. They are going to be sealed in the Orem temple Thursday at seven. He invited us to come.

This morning we were up a little earlier than usual. We drove to 

Wind Damage

My phone did ring this morning, but I did get up at 6:20. After breakfast. We watched some of the morning TV shows. Carol went to her exercise class. We drove to Fillmore for gas and then bought a few groceries. We stopped at the auto parts store and got the lawn mower belt and battery charger. Wind blew really hard during the night and blew some of the plastic off greenhouse six. 

We saw some hummingbirds flying around in front of the house. I took the old feeder into the house and Carol emptied out the old sugar water and put in some fresh sugar water. I put the new ones back. The one on the left was easy. The one on the right was much harder. I gave a hard push. It went one the hook. I lost my balance fail on my right arm and of my head hit the hard ground.

Stake Conference

 After breakfast this morning we putt on our Sunday clothes and drove to Fillmore for stake conference at the stake house. They have two meeting a year. One the spring and one in the fall. The meeting today was very good. There was a large choir and inspiring speakers, After the meeting we went home to a good dinner.

Killing Weeds

I went around the yard and shut off the water. It was running to keep from it freezing.

I cut down on the mustard weeds that were growing in greenhouse two with the weed eater. I did it to keep them from growing seeds.

I started the water in green house six but it didn't run long.

Friday

Interesting day. After breakfast and the morning TV shows. Carol went to her exercise class. When that was over, we picked up Alisha and drove to Fillmore where we bought a bag of lay pellets. We took Alisha to the drug store. We waited in the car. She soon came out and we went to the Fillmore Market and bought some groceries. At the south end of Fillmore, we bought ice creme cones. We then went home.  

The pea vines are getting quite tall. Some are blooming.

These holes are made by antlions. The ant goes in the hole and can't get out. Itis eaten by some small insect.

Ready for Freeze

After breakfast we watched the morning TV shows. Carol made some tuna-fish sandwiches for lunch. This afternoon I walked around the yard turning on the taps just a little so they would not freeze, The weather forecast is 22 degrees.

Tuesday

The day started in the usual way. 

I was able get the water to come on in greenhouse six. 

Richard helped bring this flowering cactus to the front porch. later Carol and I was able to get it in the house. There is going to be some cold nights and we don't want it to freeze.

These plants were in greenhouse five and the frost didn't hurt them.
 

Bishopric

 After breakfast I put on my suit and Carol took me to choir practice. We are learning some hymns that are really difficult for me. After choir practice I went in the chapel and sit with Carol and Richard. After the sacrament. The Stake President released the bishopric and sustained the new bishopric. All of them spoke. Carol went to relief society meeting; Richard and I stayed for priesthood meeting. After dinner Richard left.  

Catch Up

Richard was gone all day. Carol and I went to Fillmore, Filled the car with gas, bought some groceries, and stopped at the drug store. When Richard came back. he started the lawn mower. After lunch I mowed the front lawn. I then started to mow the back lawn and hit a chain that I didn't put away last fall. The belt came loose. Richard tried to fix it. We went to Fillmore for a new belt and they didn't have one. They could have a new next week.  

Temple

Every Thursday we go to Timpanogos temple. We get up a little early, put on our Sunday and eat an early breakfast. It was a little after seven when we drove out town. It was a little cloudy most of the way. We picked Nyleen up and drove to the temple. It was a good session. We took her back home. We stopped at Sam's Club and bought some groceries. We got in a huge traffic jam on the way home. After we unloaded the car I watered the peas and other plants in greenhouse five.  I watered some in greenhouse six, 

Wednesday

 

Last night I thought I would use a blanket instead of turning on the electric blanket. I put it on my bed. It was so heavy that I took it off and plugged in the electric blanket. I had a good rest. I watched the morning news. Carol gets up and showers. We fixed breakfast and watched some of the morning TV shows. At ten this morning Carol went to her exercise class. When it was over she picked up the mail.

I turned the water on and let it run on a redwood tree north of greenhouse three.

Tuesday

 

Monday- April 6, 2026 

 When I got up this morning, It began as a regular day. After breakfast we watched morning news and some of the morning TV shows. Robert and Jeanne were in Parowan attending a funeral. I was able to watch the funeral it on the internet. This afternoon Robert and Jeanne came. Robert and I walked out to the greenhouse. He fixed the garden hoses so it would be easier to water the plants. 

Tuesday- April 7, 2026 

This I watched the morning news and later I fed the cats and got breakfast started. I didn't have to make any mush because there were three bowels of mush in the fridge. After breakfast we watched the morning TV shows. I picked up the mail. There was a bill from the Holden irrigation company.  Robert and me for our assessment.  It was $15 a share. We have two shares. Robert has 2 and 1 half shares and a friend of ours has three shares. We paid all of it. We worked on it for nearly an hour.  Carol made some egg salad sandwiches which were very good.  Tonight we had spaghetti and cheese. The spaghetti is mostly gone. We had frozen twinkies for dessert.

Conference Sunday

Lisa and Eric came for the morning session of conference. Richard was all was already here. The cordless vacuum hasn't worked for several weeks.

I cleaned the dirt catcher really well. That didn't help. I took of the roller brushes. The vacuum had good suction. There was a string wrapped around the roller. I cut it. The shute was plugged. I cleaned it really good and now the cordless vacuum works.

Richard Came

For some reason the alarm on phone woke me up about fifteen minutes late. I showered, dressed and watched morning news. Later we watched morning TV shows. We drove to Fillmore and filled the car with gas. We then bought some groceries and then drove home. Carol made some sandwiches for lunch. I took some pictures.
