Off to Orem

This morning we left Holden to attend the Orem Temple. It took us a little to get to the temple. Carol stopped near the temple do. I parked the car. It was a short walk to the temple where Carol was waiting for me. After the session I walked out to get the car. I reached into my pocket for the car keys. I didn't have them. I walked back where Carol was waiting. I thought that I somehow lost them in the temple. We walked back to the car. Carol opened the door. Guess what? I left the keys in the car. We then drove home. On the way home we stopped at Wendy's and hamburgers and drinks. We then stopped at the Red Barn. We bought six ears of corn.

Carol made Zuccinie bread.

Leak is Fixed

One of the first things I do in the morning is to shower. The hot water Fausset leaks hot water. It almost warms the bathroom. I finished my shower then I get dressed. After breakfast I started to fix the leak. I took some of the parts off. I was afraid I would break something. So, I called someone to fix it. They came and had it fixed in about ten minutes. Carol made bacon and tomato sandwiches for lunch.

I think this a picture of a Canadian choke cherry.
The tap on the left leaked hot water. The guys fixed it.

At the Well

I had a good sleep last night. After breakfast this morning I turned on a sprinkler and began to water the south end of the east lawn. There was a good spray. I left it on for 45 minutes. I then turned on the sprinkler to water the back lawn. It didn't spray far enough. I tried two sprinklers at the same time. That didn't work. I then picked some vegetables. I made two trips to the post office with the vegetables. I turned the water on the east lawn back on. I tried to water with two sprinklers, but it didn't work, I got a phone call from someone wanting native plants.

The above photo is an example of some of the vegetables that I picked and took to the post office. A friend of mine took all of them.
This photo shows the sprinkler on the east lawn. I move it about every 30 minutes.
We picked up Alisha and drove to Fillmore; we stopped at the drugstore where Carol bought some medication. We then went to the market for some groceries. We took Alisha home and then we went home. I turned on a sprinkler on the back lawn. Later I turned the sprinklers off.

Fast Sunday

My alarm didn't go off this morning. So, I was late getting up. I didn't have to fix breakfast. I picked some sweet corn for dinner. I walked by the road where I sprayed the penucher weed. All of the ones I sprayed a couple of weeks ago are dying, we watched the morning news and some of the morning TV shows. At 9;30 we went to church. This is the first Sunday where the classes are to last for thirty minutes. After the first thirty minutes I thought that I would the things away and go home. I was really wrong. I had set up the microphone up again. We went home and had warmups from yesterday. I watered the front yard plants. It was three when Karen Richardson came to our house with her son, Brent. He tried fix her tablet so she could receive messages from the bishop. He worked on it for quite a while. He couldn't do it. He said that her tablet was too old. He then got my tablet hooked up. I had warm-ups for supper.

I put the sweet corn in the freezer.
Carol cut the corn of the cob and then put it on aa cookie sheet. She then put is in the freezer. The above photo was taken after it was frozen. Then I helped put it in a zip bag.
I turned on the water for the dahlia garden. One of the zip line came off. I fixed it.
The wind blew most of the polly off house five. I cut it away so I could go in and out of house five,

Surprise

The day started out as usual. Except there were lots of hummingbirds around the bird feeder. It also rained during the night.

I picked some corm yesterday. Carol blanched it yesterday and we put in zip bags and then put it in the freezer that is in the garage.
This is the surprise; Todd Troseth and his boys installed the railing this morning. They did an excellent job.
A close-up of the railing and the baskets of flowers.
Here they are attaching the railing to the concrete steps.
Another photo.
I am standing on the front porch when I took this photo.
There is almost one half inch of rainwater in this frying pan on our patio. This afternoon I dug up puncture weed.

This basket was hanging on the front porch. Carol thought that we should hang it on a tree east of the driveway. It will be easy to water.
This basket is hanging on the lilac tree.
The hummingbirds' drank all of the previous sugar water.
This a big tub full of puncture weeds.
