This morning I watered the baskets and pots on the front porch. As soon as breakfast was over, we drove to the Payson Temple. We on the 9:40 session. Some of the same people the 9:40 session last week. Somebody had some kind of medical emergency. There was an ambulance at the temple. We called Carol's sister Nyleen Batty. We were going to visit her in Linden. She didn't answer. We stopped at Wendy's and got two hamburgers and drinks. We stopped in Nephi for ice cream cones.

This afternoon wheb we got home I watered the baskets and pots on the front porch. I started to water the garden. I took the following photos.

I picked the yellow squash and one zucchini on the right.
I quit watering the cucumber plants because I didn't want to eat any more cucumbers, Carol wanted to continue taking them to the post office. I started watering them again.

Car Fixed

This morning after breakfast I mowed the lawn. I removed all of the garden hoses that were on the lawns, The lawn mower started right up. I put air in the tires and began to mow. I started on the front lawn and run out of gas while I was on the front driveway, sometime ago, I got a new gas can and filled it with gas. As hard as I tried, I couldn't pour gas in the lawnmower tank. Finally poured in an old container and then poured it into the lawnmower tank. I then mowed the front lawn, the east lawn, and most of the back lawn. Carol came out and reminded me that I was to take the car to Fillmore to get the front right fender fixed. The mechanics fixed it and I didn't cost me anything. I came home and finished mowing the lawn.

I mowed all of the lawns today.
I had a sweet potato for supper.
The people at the garage the front fender on the right side.

A small topaz melon is in the above photo. It is a little larger than an olive.

Cleaned Garage Some

Carol found a large metal pot in the pantry that contained dried food. If we had to leave Holden in a hurry, we would have some food that would sustain us for some time. I looked in the garage for some more; I found a bag that was full of dried food and a bucket that contained other needed items. I picked some sweet corn and chucked it. Carol boiled it and then we cut the corn of the cob. It is now in the freezer. We had warm-ups for lunch. Later we rode around town. We drove around town and then went north on the frontage road. There was a flood of muddy water late last night.

This is a hippity-hop that some of our kids played with when they were younger.

When we got home, I picked two ears of corn. We had a good rain for a few minutes. It didn't last long enough.
Nyleen had a beautiful flowering shrub. Carol picked three stems and brought them home.

Were Ready

When I got up this morning the shower curtain was down. heard it fall during the night. I put back up and then showered. Later in the morning I secured it so it would fall again. Carol went to her exercise class. I started the water on the dahlias. I also watered the potatoes. Carol made bacon and tomatoes sandwiches which were really good. We need to water the plants while we go to Las Vegas. We considered hiring someone, but they might fall on the front porch steps.

We had a surprise visit from Holden and his family. They were on their way to St George. I drilled holes in the PVC pipe and set it at an angle. I put the end of garden hose in the pipe and then turn on the water just a little bit.
This looks like a dead cat. But this is Tiger asleep in the grass.
I turned the water on the dahlia garden.
The hibiscus plant is blooming. This is the first bloom of the summer.
I built this a couple days ago. The hose is inserted on the left.
I did this one today. The hose is inserted on the right.
