Robert Again

After breakfast this morning, I picked the peas in the garden.  I got a nice batch of peas.  We were going to give them to our neighbor, but when Robert rang the doorbell, Carol said that we would give them to to him.

A Little Better

I was able to read the next chapter in the Book of Mormon.  I started my old fashion oatmeal mush and then fed the cats.  I fixed breakfast, Carol had one scrambled egg.  I had mush and then one large egg and one tiny egg.  Both were scrambled together.

Garden Work

I was able to read another chapter in the Book of Mormon, before the 7:00 news came on.  I fed the cats.  There was some left-over gravy in the fridge.  I put it on top of the cat food. Mistake.  The cats ate around the gravy.

Later, I put it in the smallest cat dish and threw it away.

I picked the peas that were growing in house five.  Carol shelled them. I also picked some peas from the garden.
The carrot raised bed had a lot of weeds growing in it. I was on my knees in front of this bed pulling out the weeds.  I used my pocketknife cut the root just below the soil.  I was on my knees for  quite a long time. I have a small medicine bottle containing carrot seeds.
There is quite a nice group of carrots growing.
After I seeded more carrots, I covered the seeds with grass clippings.  I watered them using a water breaker several times this afternoon.
K I covered them with welded wire to keep off the cats.
This is the batch of peas from the garden.  Carol shelled these

Mowing & Kittens

This morning I was up early enough to read a chapter in the Book of Mormon.  When Carol got up she showered and put up her hair.  I fixed breakfast. After breakfast, I checked the plants in house five.  They looked like they hadn't been watered.  The face of the time clock was completely blank.  It looked like the batteries were dead.  I couldn't squeeze the battery pack to remove them.  I walked back to the garage to get the adjustable pliers.

I worked at it for quite a while.  I was able to squeeze the battery pack

Pipes

I was up pretty early again this morning.  I prepared breakfast and after breakfast I put on my boots picked up the weed eater and cut down the weeds in the orchard.  I would get the foxtail seeds in my socks. It took me about twenty minutes to pull them out of my socks. I also cut a couple of branches on a smoke tree that was in my way.

The salvia plants were tipped over because of the water from the sprinkler.  I used some landscape twine to hold them together.

Another photo from the west side.  From here they look pretty good.
This is a photo of the salvias in the Kidney.
I began to put the irrigation pipes away.
Another photo of the pipes that came from grass west of the garage.
There are pipes stored on both sides of this place.
I sprayed all of the weeds in the head dish.

Surprise

Sunday, June 25.

This morning I was up pretty early and updated yesterday's photos.  I prepared breakfast and did a little watering.  Carol got up and still was not feeling well.  I drove to church and some family was sitting on the bench where we usually sit.  I had to sit on the bench just ahead. The talks were really good.  The priesthood lesson went much better.  Carol had dinner ready when I got home.  After dinner we watched some channel eleven programs.  I watered all of the garden.   Carol got several phone calls.  One was from Lisa, later two members of the elder's quorum presidency visited us.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

It says that this was published Sunday, June 25 because i posted it this morning, but in reality, the pictures and dialog were done yesterday, Saturday, June 24.

The lay pellets were gone this morning.  I put more in the container.  +
Our front yard looks really good.
There is a large choys plant in the cactus garden.
