Robert Helped

Robert came this morning.  He was ready to go to work.

We transplanted all of the tomato plants in one row in greenhouse one.  Robert set up the timer clock so they would be watered every day.  It took some trial and error to get it right.   We drove to Fillmore for some bean and pumpkin seeds.  We also got some liquid seven to kill the grasshoppers. We planted the a row of bush beans and some pumpkin seeds.
The alliums are in full bloom in the west garden.
The alliums in a different view.
The irrigation of the broccoli plants.  They just about died for the lack of water.  After irrigation the perked up some.
Robert helped transplant the geraniums or I should say, he did the transplanting and Carol, and I helped some.
Carol and transplanted these geranium plants this morning.
This is how it looked before the sprinkler was turned on.  Robert adjusted the water for the irrigation of the plants in greenhouse five.

Transplanted Geraniums

After breakfast we watched some of the MeTV shows.  We then drove to Fillmore and filled the car with gas.   We stopped at the Fillmore market and bought some groceries.  Next it was Roper's where I bought a container of Slime.  It is for the lawnmower tire.  I watered most of the plants in the garden and on the front porch.

This is the geraniums in the kidney just after they were watered.
We, Carol and I, worked over an hour spading the kidney flower garden.  Carol took the geranium out of the pot and handed it to me.  I dug a hole and put it in the hole.
This is a yellow crook neck summer squash that I planted a week ago.
There are two zucchini seedling that recently germinated.
I planted and watered a long row of Topaz melon seed.  There were four seeds in each group about four feet apart.
I planted a short row of yellow crookneck and zucchini squash in the west garden.

Snake

It was seven when we left this morning for the Mount Timpanogos temple.  We were able to travel the whole distance without any traffic problems.  After the session we took Nyleen Batty to her home.  She had made us a sack lunch.  We then stopped at Sam's Club for some groceries.   We then went to Home Depot.  We bought some flowers to put into two large tubs.  We ate some of the sack lunch on the way home.   It was a little after two when we got home.

Carol filled these two tubs with flowers.
Another tub by the kidney filled with geraniums.
Here Carol is sitting on a chair planting more flowers.
One of our cats is helping.
Another picture of Carol planting.
I went out to the back yard and got a picture of this snake.  It is about 2 & 1/2 feet long.
Another picture.  I watered the new transplants in the garden this evening.

Weeding Dahlias

Carol wanted to fill the hummingbird feeders.  As soon as breakfast was over, I went outside and got the feeders on the west, I brought it into the kitchen.  Carol filled it with a mix of sugar and water,  I took it back outside and hung it on screw.  I got the east hummingbird feeder.  Carol also filled it. I took it back outside and hung it.  There was a hummingbird waiting in for a drink.  I was able to watch parts of the morning TV shows.  I thought Carol went to the post office to get the mail.  The car keys were still in the kitchen.  She was outside weeding the dahlias.  She held on to my arm as she moved around in the dahlia garden.

Using the weed eater I cut down a lot of grassy weeds.  The above photo is west of greenhouse six.
I cut on both sides of the tractor which is parked by the orchard.
Here is the other side of the tractor.
This is the east hummingbird feed.    I got a hoe and weeded around the dahlias in greenhouse two,  There are still a few crickets around.

Richard Left

The first thing that I did when I got up this morning was to start the slow cooker.  I then showered, no breakfast this morning because it is fast Sunday.  Carol wrapped the potatoes in foil and put them in the oven.  I made tapioca pudding.  We went to church, after church we came home to a good dinner.  Richard left.   Later, I watered all of the plants.
