Mowed the Lawns

Another normal morning.  Breakfast, TV and then lunch. After lunch I put the compressor on the cart and pushed it out to the shed.  I backed out the lawnmower and pumped up the tires.

I drove it to the garage where we filled up the gas tank.

After I finished mowing it rained some.  I wasn't able to trim with the weed eater.

New Battery

We woke up a good rainstorm,  I think that it rained for over an hour.  It was a little after eleven when we picked up the mail and drove to the drugstore in Fillmore.  I got some over the count tablets, gummies, and Carol got some greeting cards.  I did some weed eating.

I took the cordless weed eater and cut down a lot of grass. I quite before the battery run down because the grass was so wet.
Later in the day I called Richard Darnel if he could start the truck.  We hooked jumper cables the battery in his truck to the battery in my truck.  It didn't work.  He removed the battery and drove to Fillmore where I bought a new battery.  We came back to Holden and after a little work installed the new battery.  The truck started right up.    Carol and I drove to the dump and began to unload all of the leaves and junk that was in the truck, Barry Nixon was there.  He had a pitchfork and helped.
This truck is now fixed.
It is pretty hot in greenhouse five.

Stake Conference

Saturday evening we went to the evening session of stake conference.  We were early so we could sit close to the front of the chapel.  The speakers and the music were very good.   It was still light when we left Fillmore.   We had warmups for supper.

Sunday, we went to the stake house for the Sunday session of stake conference.  We set on the second row in the chapel; it was another inspiring session.  The stake presidency was released, and a new stake presidency was sustained.  The area seventy and his companion were here to do this.

After the session we came home to a good dinner.

The Temple Again

This morning, we were up early.  We were going to the Mount Timpanogos Temple.  I put my suit on making sure that my recommend was in the left inside pocket.  I started the old-fashion oatmeal mush.  While it was cooking, I fed the cats.  After breakfast, I put the suitcases in the car and left Holden.  Once in Lindon, we picked up Nyleen and went to the Temple.  When the session was over, we came straight home.  I put on my overalls and watered most of the plants in greenhouse five.  I got out my weed eater and went after the tall grass east of the greenhouses.  After cutting a lot of grass the battery died.  I put it back one the charger.  After it was charged, I cut down more grass and weeds.

This picture is the grass on the far south end.
Another picture looking in the sun.
I cut the grass growing in the rocks.
The temperature in greenhouse five.
On the way home we stopped at the Flying J gas station.  I got 11.98 gallons of gas costing $39.53.

Warmer Days

After lunch I watered the plants in greenhouse five.  Some of the tomato plants were really wilted. I watered them and all of the plants on the benches.  I got the weed eater and began to cut them down.  The battery died after thirty seconds.  I out it in the charger.  After it was charged.  I began to cut the weeds and tall grass east of the greenhouses.  I cut until the batter died again.  This afternoon Carol and I went for a ride around town.   Tonight, I gave the plants in greenhouse five a real soaking.  We are going to the Timpanogos temple in the morning.

Robert Helped

Robert called this morning and said that he would leave work after a 9:30 meeting at work.  He was here a little around eleven. The main project was to get well water to greenhouses five and six.  It took quite a long time, but we finally did it.  Robert then watered the plants on the bench, the pomegranate bush and a few other things.  When he left there was not any well water in the gardens.

I went up to the well and checked the water pressure. It was good and going up.
There was good water pressure in the south end of greenhouse two.
I went up to the water meter.  There wasn't any water coming from the meter.
Robert planted the dahlias west of the driveway.
Here is another photo.
and one more. When he finished, I turned on the water to the dahlias.   They were being watered.  Carol fixed a lunch.  Robert then went home.

Back to Normal

Carol and I got up this morning things were pretty much to normal.  We were home alone.  Rod, a town employee was reading the water meters.  He suggested that I shut off all leaking taps. I did.  I spent hours of time turning on the well. I finally got it running.  I was back and forth turning off all of the faucets.  I couldn't get the water on in greenhouses two, three, four, five and six.  In the morning, I will turn on the city water for an hour or so until I finish water in house five and six. I didn't have my phone with me, so I didn't get any pictures.  I didn't want to back and get pictures.

Lot of Company

This was a pretty normal morning.  Richard brought his fourwheeler. He parked it and left the seat heater on.  When he went back to start it, the battery was dead.  He worked on for a long time and was able to get the battery charged.  He took the kids for short rides.

Late this morning Holden and Meagan came with all of their kids including a new baby.  They did easter eggs.  They colored their eggs.  There was another set plastic eggs.  Carol, Jeanne, and Meagan filled the eggs with coins and dollar bills.  They then hid them in the front yard.  After the eggs were hidden, the kids then went out with baskets and gathered them up.

Here the kids are coloring their eggs.
Here they are removing the money and candy that were in the eggs.
Holden is holding the new baby.
Here is a closes up of the beautiful baby girl.
More egg coloring.
Still more coloring eggs.
Robert, Jeanne, and Holden having lunch.  Lisa and Eric brought a lot of food.
Here is some of the food they brought.

Carol wanted me to print a picture of the baby, after a lot of tries getting the picture printed.  But it was a full page.  Eric helped me.  I e-mailed the picture to him. He then printed it on my printer.  They are staying with us for another night.

Funeral in Santaquin

There was a white surprise outside this morning.  There was nearly two inches of snow in our yard.  I took three pictures from the front porch.

This is looking east.
This is looking west.
This is looking north.  Richard's truck and trailer is on the left. The back of my truck is on the right.  This morning after breakfast we put on our Sunday clothes and drove to Santaquin for the funeral of my brother-in-law. James Corry.  The roads were wet, but it rained and snowed most of the way to Santaquin.  Once there we, Carol, Richard and I, went through the line.  We expressed our sorrow to my sister and other family members.  The funeral services were very good.  After the services, we visited with other family members that we met in the foyer.  We had a good visit with them.  We then drove home. The roads were dry.  We stopped at the post office.  It was 9;30 when Lisa and Eric Gray got here.

They brought a lot of food and other things.  The above photo illustrates this.  We visited until a little after eleven and then went to bed.

7am-5pm

It was seven this morning when we left Holden for the Mount Timpanogos temple. We picked up Nyleen Batty  It was raining a little when we left and rained harder most of the way.  We had a good session; I had an appointment with my cardiologist at 2:45.   We were about three hours early for my appointment, we then went to Sams Club for some groceries.  We then drove around Utah county for a while. We then parked at the hospital parking lot for a long time.  We then waited in the waiting room.  While waiting, a man older than me was pushing a walker.  His daughter was with him.  The sat down across from us.  He said that he was born in 1931.  We had a nice visit with them.  I went into an exam room.  After the exam, the doctor said I was doing well.

Carol took this picture while waiting for the doctor to come back.   We then drove home.  Nyleen made us a sack lunch which we ate on the way home.   We stopped for the mail and went home.  The morning rain had stopped, and the roads were dry.  We unloaded the car and put on our work clothes.  We then drove to Fillmore for gas.   Richard came home.

Starting Truck?

I've tried several times in the last month to start the truck.  I hooked the charger to the battery several times. Today. I put the charger on for about five hours.  Tonight, I tried to start the truck, there was not a bit of charge in the battery.  I put the charger and extension cords away.

I mowed the grass in the west end of orchard with the cordless weed eater until the battery died.  I put it back one the charger. After supper I cut more grass.
There is a floral arrangement of beautiful tulips.  I watered most of the plants in greenhouse five.

Car Serviced

We had an appointment at eleven this morning in Fillmore to have our car serviced.  We left at 10:30. We stopped at the post office before we left Holden.  We had the address which was right in the middle of town.  The first place I checked was wrong.  We finally found the garage.  I took Carol to the Fillmore marked.  I came back to the garage.  The car was ready in about thirty minutes; I went back to the market.  Carol was waiting for me with a cart full of groceries.

We then went to Loves and got gasoline for the lawnmower. After lunch I worked in the yard.  I wanted to turn on the well water.  I went all over the yard shutting off all of the taps.  I needed to buy some parts to replace some of the broken parts.  Tomorrow I will go to Roper's and buy them.
