Really Fixed

The shower curtain fell down last night. This morning I fixed it up a little and was able to shower before it fell again. I fed the cats and made batch of old fashion oatmeal mush.  I started the roast in the slow cooker. I scrabbled two eggs and then fried an egg for Carol. Richard got up. I fried two eggs for him. I then made some tapioca pudding. I went to church. Carol and Richard didn't go because they were sick, Sacrament meeting and Sunday school were good. Carol fixed a good dinner. Richard didn't eat any dinner. Before Richard left we fixed the shower curtain rod so it will stay in place.

We took some electrical wire that was used for the telephone and wrapped it around the shower rod and taped it to the wall. We used several layers of duct tape. The photo is of the left shower wall. We did the same to the right shower wall.

Shower Curtain Fixed

Richard was gone when I got up. When he returned, he said that he had to go back to work to fix a problem.  I was able to shower by carefully getting the tub. I showered and then carefully got out of the tub. I dressed and watched the morning news; I fed the cats and fixed breakfast. I picked up the mail. Carol made cheese and baloney sandwiches for lunch. Richard helped me fix the shower curtain so it won't come down.

I checked on the plants in greenhouse five. The fig bushes have been growing leaves. But today I saw several of the bush with small young green figs.
Many of the seeds in this germination tray are beginning to germinate. The cucumber and topaz melon and watermelon seeds are germinating. I planted more potatoes in greenhouse six. I watered the with two buckets of water.
Two boxes for Richard came a couple of days ago. He worked part of the afternoon putting it together. The boxes contained a small tent, matres, pillow. It has a long zipper.

With the warmer weather, we are expecting hummingbirds. Carol prepared the sugar water. This is on the west side of the front porch.
This is on the eastside of the porch. It is a black and white photo because it was cloudy when I took the picture.

They drove to Fillmore and got a new filter. They finally got it started, Robert drove it over to get the tree spade. Todd Troset had a tractor that could lift the tree spade and put it on the trailer. Todd was working on a ditch and couldn't come. Dusten backed his trailer and began to load it on his trailer, The got it loaded. Dusten secured it to the trailer and hauled it away. Robert then drove home.

Electric Fix

Carol made hamburgers for lunch. The tasted very good.

The night light in the bathroom would not come on. when I went to bed last night. I tried several things to get it to come on. It still did not come on. I tried several things this morning. I turned braker switch on and of several time, our neighbor across the road is a election. I thought he would be able to fix it. I found his phone number. Carol didn't want me to call him because he works with bigger power lines. I put a note on Face Book. About an hour later the phone rang.  He had seen the note and was soon at our door. He did several tests. It was an easy fix, He went right to work and soon fixed it. The problem was in Carol's bathroom. There was a switch on the west wall. It had been shut off. He turned it on. That fixed the problem in my bathroom. Carol plugged in her hair dryer, It worked. Richard gave him a $20.00 tip.

Richard has been here most of the afternoon. He fixed the blinds in the west window in the front room. It now looks new.

Eagle Mountain

It was around 10:30 when we left for eagle mountain, we were to meet April and her family at her home in Eagle. It has been quite a while since we have been there. We missed the freeway exit. We called April again. April said that she would come and we could follow he to her home. We did that. April had prepared a lunch for us. Before we left we signed a paper. We had leftovers for lunch. It took me a long time to unwrap the shower rod, It was tightly wrapped with clear plastic.  I put the shower curtain in place, Just after I left the bathroom and the curtain fell.

The ruhbarb is barely coming up.
After many tries in the bathroom, the shower curtain is up, I had to put a short piece of duct tape below each end. That stopped the curtain rod from sliding down,

every evening when it is getting dark, we close the blinds. Carol was closing the blind on the west end of the family room, and it came down.

This afternoon I decided to clean my tub.  I used a razor blade and scraped all the hard water build-up on the sides of the tub. I washed down the drain, Somewhere the drainpipe was plugged.  I went under the house to see if there was a trap that I could clean.  There wasn't. The tub does drain, but it is slow. I treated it twice with DRANO. It does drain a little faster.

Power Was Off

After breakfast we watched one TV show when the power was turned off.  This was announced several weeks ago.  I backed the car out of the garage.  The power was turned off at nine right as scheduled.  We had planned to take three unopened glass coke bottles to Maryanne.  We soon drove to Sutherland and stopped her house.  After a short we drove around Sutherland.  We looked at the home where I grew up.  We went the cemetery where our baby and my parents were buried. We then drove on miles and miles of dirt roads.  We filled the care with gas in Fillmore.   W bought some hamburger and then drove home.  The power came back on. I went out to greenhouse five to hook up the drip tape to water a row of peas.  I tried several times. The water presure was too high and caused the connections to come apart.

Watering Peas

When I went out to greenhouse five this morning, I discovered that I had left the water on, there was a big puddle of water under the fertilizer container.  I shut the water off the water, Then I got a water braker and began to spray the row of peas that Robert planted. That didn't work very well. I then took the water braker of and the water directly from the hose. Awhile later I walked backwards dragging the hose on the row of peas. I expect that they will germinate in a week from now.    I then watered Robert's fruit trees and Carol's pomegranate bush.

Combination

Last night I went to bed thinking about finding the combination for the safe.  I had a dream about the location of the combination. It will be in a book.  I saw the book. It showed the combination on the inside cover. I tried many times following the directions and wasn't able to unlock the safe.  I think my hands are too shaky, Richard came this afternoon.  I had him try to unlock the safe. He couldn't do it either.

I scattered the pomegranates in the garden; they were all rotten.  Some may germinate in the spring.  If they do, I will dig some up and put them in nursery pot and grow them in greenhouse five.  Lisa ordered a cable to charge my iPad last Thursday, it came tonight,
