A regula
I write all most every day of what goes on in our home in the garden and in the nursery. We are ordinance workers at the Manti Temple on the Tuesday morning shift and the Saturday evening shift. In addition there are several trips to Utah county a couple of times a month and a few short trips to other mountain west areas. Our family is most important to us. All of our children live in Utah except one who lives in Kentucky.
There is nothing unusual today. I made three bowels of old fashion oats. I watered most of the plants in greenhouse five. Calico showed up on the front porch today. Carol gave her some cat food and water. Carol made a large batch of spaghetti for supper. That's about it,
Up at regular time this morning. I wasn't expecting the things that happened today when I got up. It was a regular day of mush and eggs for breakfast. After breakfast I watched the morning TV shows. Carol read and worked on the puzzle which is on the kitchen table. I ate the last of the lasagna for lunch.

I cleaned them up put them and put them in the fridge,After breakfast we watched the morning TV shows. Later we had lunch. Carol suggested that I should do something. I went outside and got the weed eater. The photos below are not in order. Calico was at the front door early this afternoon. I took her cat food and water. After she finished eating, I followed her going east. The last time that I saw her she was north of greenhouse three.
Here I cut down all of the asperges plants.I watched the morning news. After breakfast I watched the morning TV shows. After the shows we had lunch. I mowed up the leaves that had fallen.

I dumped the leaves on the south garden. Hoping the will decay during the winter.I watchet the clock this morning to make sure that I didn't sleep in. When it was time to get up, I got up and the alarm went off. I got up and started the roast on the slow cooker. I turned the furnace on and then showered. After dressing I noticed that Richard's bedroom door was closed. I then fed the cats and started get breakfast ready. Carol got up. she started washer and then she had a shower. Later she wrapped the potatoes with foil and put them in the oven. I turned on the radio to listen to Sunday morning programs. After breakfast I checked the internet for the BYU football scores. BYU won big. I got ready for church. Carol took me to choir practice. Richard, Carol and I went into the chapel for sacrament meeting and Sunday It was raining when we left church. We then came home to a good Sunday meal. Richard opened the front door and there was Calico. Carol took her some cat food some water. Later Richard went back to work.

This morning, I slept in. The alarm on my phone failed to go off. I was really late getting up. I was able to watch some of the morning news. Richard was gone. I fed the cats and made a batch of old fashion oatmeal mush. It made three bowels of mush. After breakfast I watched three shows about woodworking. They were on channels seven. The first one didn't talk much about wood working. We picked up the mail and Carol got some books. We drove around town. I had some of Carol's soup which was very good. Carol asked me to blow the leaves off the front porch. I watered the plants in greenhouse five. I got the cordless blower. The battery died in less than a minute. I then got the corded blower and blew the leaves off the front porch.
I then blew the leaves off the patio. I blew them on the back lawn. Richard came back, He shot a coyote near cherry creek which is north of Delta in Juab County,Yesterday, we picked Nyleen, Carol's sister and did a session in the Orem temple. On the way home we stopped at Walmart and got a few things. I also had the lady there fix my tablet,
Richard was gone when I got up this morning. It was a little after eleven this morning when Carol and I drove to Fillmore. We stopped at LOVE'S for gas. We then went to Fillmore market and got some groceries. Our next stop was at Fillies. We bought a taco salad, two hamburgers, and fries. We then came home. While we were gone, Richard got the lawn mower ready. After lunch, I began mowing the back lawn. Richard got a chair and set it out by the south garden. When the grass catcher was full, I would drive over to the garden. He would dump the grass on the garden. I would start mowing again. This continued until I was nearly finished. When I started again, the drive belt came off. Richard was able to get it back on. I then finished the rest of the mowing and parked the lawn mower in the shed.
There is a bad water leak in a water pipe. I got the weed eater and cut away the grass. Richard dug up lot mud and exposed the pipe.
Regular morning. Mush and fried eggs. We watched the morning TV shows. We had warmed up shredded potatoes for lunch. The old fashion oatmeal mush was gone. I made three more bowels of mush. We are going to the Orem temple in the morning. Carol made some soup for supper. After lunch I watered the plants in greenhouse five.
I also picked two pomegranates that had begun to crack, Carol removed all the seeds and put them in a plastic bag that was in the freezer. This evening, we drove to Fillmore to get gas. We stopped at Love's and then came home.Nothing unusual this morning. I watched the morning news, fed the cats, fixed breakfast, watched the morning TV shows. Carol made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. After lunch, I watered the plants in greenhouse five. I then began to store the dahlia tubbers. The following photos illustrates some of what I did to day. The flags posted all over town for Veterans Day.
I got a pretty good picture this afternoon.This morning my alarm woke me up. I showered, dressed, and fed the cats. I then made some old fashion oatmeal mush. Carol was up. We fixed breakfast. After breakfast we watched some of the morning TV shows. I missed part of the shows because I kept falling asleep. At ten we picked up the mail and then drove to Fillmore to pay our property taxes. Carol wrote a check for $2,151.20. We then came home for lunch. I looked out the back window across the lawn there were two large kittens. One was orange and the other one was black play with the mother cat. Midnight. I had a frozen dinner for lunch. Later Carol went to her DUP meeting. While she was gone, I was on the phone with Dan Speakman getting my laptop adjusted. The photos here were not taken today, but last week,
Lisa is helping Robert dig the dahlia tubers.The first thing I did after I got up was to put the beef roast in the slow cooker. I then showered and watchet some of the morning news. I fed the cats and then fixed breakfast. Carol took me to choir practice. We are learning new songs for the Christmas program next month. The speakers gave good talks, The priesthood meeting teacher did a good job. My tablet wouldn't work so it made ot follow the lesson. After church we had a good Sunday dinner.

We have looked forward to the baptism of Madelyn Irene Lewis for several weeks. Today, Saturday, is the long-waited day. We were up early with plenty of time for breakfast. We left a little before eight. The drive to Timpanogos Park 2nd Ward was quite uneventful. During that time of the morning there wasn't as much traffic on the freeway, After we got there it took us quite a long time to find the ward house, When we got there we were early for the meeting, There were quite a lot of people there cleaning the church for the Sunday meetings, The meeting started with a prayer and a song. There were several speakers who talked about baptism. Then the baptism and later there were several other speakers. Richard, our son, blessed one of the babies. Carol and I went to Robert's home for a short visit with Robert and Jeanne. We listened to the BYU game on the radio. We stopped at Wendys for hamburgers, fries, and drinks. We got home in time to watch the last couple of minutes on TV. BYU lost. The final score was 39 to seven. As soon as we got home we drove to Fillmore to pay our property taxes. Went to the door of the courthouse, It was locked. The sign on the door said "closed at 10."
Carol asked me to mow the up the leaves on that were west of the driveway, I got the lawnmower and soon filled the grass catcher with leaves. I drove the mower to the south garden and got stuck in hole in the grass. I got a heavy iron pipe and worked my way out of the hole. I started mowing again and the mower ran out of gas. I had a gas can in the garage. It was heavy but I was able to fill the mower engine with gas, I was able to mow the rest of the lawns. It was almost dark by the time I finished.
I put all of the leaves on the south garden.

This morning started out pretty good, Up at 6:20, fed the cats and made a new batch of old fashion oatmeal mush. Robert soon came and we started shutting off the well water. We walked around the yard opening every valve that we could find. During this time Lisa Gray came. She walked with us for the remaining valves.
Carol wanted all of her plants on the front porch removed and put in greenhouse five. Robert got a cart and took the geraniums, cactus, and chrysanthemums to greenhouse five.
The next project is digging dahlias. Robert did the digging. He dug them west of the driveway. Those are the ones we planted this spring, They are in the garage, We then dug the dahlias that were in greenhouse two. Robert is giving them to his daughter,
I wanted water running to the chickens, We had to make some adjustments for that, About 7:30, Calico the cat showed up. I gave her some cat food and water,
We were up this morning at our regular time. I watched the morning news. I then fed the cats, There was a orange kitten there. As soon as it saw me it ran away. We had breakfast and then watched the morning TV shows. I walked around the rooms to stay awake. for lunch we thick chilly.
This morning started out pretty good. After b we watched the morning TV shows. Later I went to the post office for the mail. After lunch I watered the plants in greenhouse five, I went into greenhouse six and saw to kittens. One was orange and the other one was black. I took a picture, but I wasn't very close and didn't get a good picture, I went back later, but the kittens were gone. A little after seven tonight, Calico showed up on the front porch. I took her some cat food and some water. I worked on my laptop computer for over an hour without any success. I found my pitchfork and put the dead tomato vines in the compost pile. I put the three wooden pumpkins away in the garage. I also put the lawn chairs and the folding chairs away in the garage,

Day light saving time ended early this morning, We were able to sleep in this morning. I was up several times during the night checking the time on my iPad. After I got up Richard went for a short drive this morning. It is fast Sunday so no breakfast. Carol wrapped the potatoes in foil, and put them in the oven, I made some tapioca pudding. We went to church, It was testimony meeting, Alot of kids bore six word testimonies, After church we had dinner of pork chops, backed potatoes and gravy and tapioca pudding. I watered the plants in greenhouse five. by the time I got back to the house, Richard was gone. I changed the clocks to standard time. We watched TV until we went to bed. At eight. Calico, the cat was at the front door, I gave her cat food and water,
30 October 2025 Thursday
This morning after breakfast we left Holden drove to Lindon. We picked up Carol's sister, Nyleen Batty. We then went to the Mount Timpanogos temple. After the session at the temple, we took Nyleen back to her home. She gave us a sack lunch that we ate on the way home. We then drove straight to Holden. We stopped at the post office. There were three letters. When we got home, I opened my letter. A new credit card was inside. I called the number to activate my card. I was soon able to talk to a real person. It was hard for me to understand her. She hung up. I went online and was able activate my credit card. I put the new card into my wallet.
1 OCTOBER 2025 SATURDAY
After I got up, I turned on the TV for the morning news. The house garbage bag was full. I took it out to the garage. Richard was gone when I got up, and he locked the door. I grabbed the doorknob of the back door, it was locked. I walked around to the front door. It was unlocked. After breakfast I watched the channel seven woodworking shows. Carol put all of the Halloween decorations away and brought the Thanksgiving decorations out.
Later Richad and I took all of the shredded martial and dumped it on the south garden.
