Baptism

We have looked forward to the baptism of Madelyn Irene Lewis for several weeks.  Today, Saturday, is the long-waited day.  We were up early with plenty of time for breakfast.  We left a little before eight.    The drive to Timpanogos Park 2nd Ward was quite uneventful.  During that time of the morning there wasn't as much traffic on the freeway,  After we got there it took us quite a long time to find the ward house,  When we got there we were early for the meeting,  There were quite a lot of people there cleaning the church for the Sunday meetings,  The meeting started with a prayer and a song.  There were several speakers who talked about baptism.  Then the baptism and later there were several other speakers.  Richard, our son, blessed one of the babies.  Carol and I went to Robert's home for a short visit with Robert and Jeanne.  We listened to the BYU game on the radio.  We stopped at Wendys for hamburgers, fries, and drinks.  We got home in time to watch the last couple of minutes on TV.  BYU lost. The final score was 39 to seven.  As soon as we got home we drove to Fillmore to pay our property taxes.  Went to the door of the courthouse, It was locked.  The sign on the door said "closed at 10."

Carol asked me to mow the up the leaves on that were west of the driveway, I got the lawnmower and soon filled the grass catcher with leaves.  I drove the mower to the south garden and got stuck in hole in the grass.  I got a heavy iron pipe and worked my way out of the hole.  I started mowing again and the mower ran out of gas.  I had a gas can in the garage.  It was heavy but I was able to fill the mower engine with gas, I was able to mow the rest of the lawns.  It was almost dark by the time I finished.

I put all of the leaves on the south garden.
