Earwigs

 

I was up early, showered, and dressed. I went outside through the front door.  I got the earwig bait/trap and brought it into the house.  It was full of earwigs.

The above photo shows the number of earwigs.  To man to count.  We fed the cats, I began to fix breakfast. But turned out to be we fixed breakfast.  After breakfast we watched channel eleven TV programing.  Later we drove to church, two missionaries were the main speakers. A lady with family living in our ward spoke on the importance of family history.  We had porkchops, baked potatoes, and peas for dinner.  I watered the plants on the front porch and patio.  We watch more channel eleven programing the rest of the afternoon.

It was about 6:20 when i got up.

Power Outage

It was about 10:10 am when I woke up.  It was pitch black.  The power was out and the clock near my bed was completely black.  I grabbed my spring-operated flashlight, and I was able to walk into the family room and turn on a light that contained battery.   That helped to light the family room some.  I went back to bed.  Later the power came back on.  I had planned on getting up at 6:20.  I went back to sleep and it was a little after seven when I got up.  I started 

Timpanogos Temple

 

We were up early this morning.  It rained some during the night. I started making old fashion oatmeal mush.  We ate breakfast and loaded our things in the car.  It was a little before seven when we drove out of Holden.  The sun was shining brightly most of the way to American Fork.  We picked up the Batty's and drove to the temple.  We had a good session and took the Batty's home.  Nyleen had picked a lot of currants for us.  

The Doctor

 I was up way early this morning.  I was confused on what was scheduled.  I had a dermatologist at eight and my family doctor 9:30.   We were there at eight and was called to go ln to the exam room.  He recommended that I use the save on the tops of my ears.  We then bought gas and then some groceries at the Fillmore market.  We then went back to the doctor's office and had a long wait before i could see the doctor.

Pine Branches

I was up early enough to watch the morning news.  I fed the cats and made a batch of old fashion oatmeal mush.  We watched parts of the morning TV shows.  I say parts because I had a lot of interruptions.  At the end of the shows, I went to the post office and got the mail.  Late this afternoon I began to load the pine branches on the pickup truck.  I got the key to dump.  Later still we took the branches to the dump.   It was hard for Carol to get in the truck, but she went anyway and helped to unload the truck.  Both of us wore gloves handling the sticky pine branches.  

We went back and loaded the truck again.  The above photo is of the second trip.  We then took the dump key to the post office.

This evening we watched TV until we went to bed.  

Little Rain

 

I was up in time for the morning news.

I started to watch the channel 44 programs I was late for Pery Masion because 

Sunday

Richard was gone when I got up.  Carol got up a little later.  I fixed breakfast and made three dishes of oatmeal mush.  Carol and I ate breakfast.  Richard came back.  He ate his breakfast.  He got a message that he had to go to the Salt Lake airport to pick up Emly and John who have been on a two-week vacation.  He then left for the airport.  I made some tapioca pudding.  We then went to church. The meetings went well.  After church we came home for dinner.  I updated the family reunion information from yesterday.

Peay Party

 Worked in the garden most of the day. I used two batteries on the weed eater.  We drove to the Lindon Park for the Peay family reunion. It was a little after two when we left Holden.  The freeway traffic was fairly fast.  Once in Linden, we went directly to the park. There wasn't anyone that we recognized there.  Carol had Richard's phone number.  I called him and he came and got us.  We followed him to the upper park where we saw people that we knew.  Richard is one of the organizers of the Peay party organizers. He went down to the car and got our cooler which contained the potato salad.  The photos are not in order, there for I will explain them.

We followed Robert and Jeanne to the home of Holden and Megan.  The above photo is of their family.  Megan is expecting a girl. We went down to their basement where we saw their family room with a huge TV screen.  We also went into his office where he works.  He finds relationships of different people then the temple work can be done.   He showed us pictures and comments our family members.

I removed all the weeds in the row of celebrity tomato plants. I worked several hours today.

The same row but looking the opposite direction.  I did a lot of weeding the southwest end of out yard.  This is where the grape vines are growing.  Richard helped clean up the pavilion.  He then came home and sent the night with us.

Timpanogos Temple

 We were up early this morning to go to the Timpanogos Temple.  We left a little before seven.  We picked up Miles and Nyleen Batty and drove to the temple.  I parked the car and found a handicapped spot close to the temple.  After a good session we took the Batty's home.

 Got in time to watch the morning news.  After that I prepared breakfast.  We fed the cats and Carol made special kitten food. 

This is what was in the top bunk.  It looks like Tiger is going to fall out.  The two kittens are cuddled up with Scamp who is sick.  After watching a couple morning TV shows I went out to put new string in the weed eater.  I put on new string and put on my boots.  The battery lasted for about one minute.  I brought it into the garage and hooked it up to the charger.   I got out the lawn mower and mow weeds on the south side of the street in front of our house.  I started mowing on the
