Christmas Shopping and Decorating.

We drove to Utah county to do the Christmas shopping. I am skipping the boring details.  We stopped at Walmart, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Beds, Bath and Beyond, In and Out, The Church Distribution Center, and Beyond,  Costco gas, Harbor Freight, and Walmart again.  We shopped and Shopped until we almost dropped.  It was steady shopping for five to six hours with a short break for lunch.

There were several times that I asked the clerk for a price check on a certain item.  He/she pulled out a smart phone and took a picture of the bar code on that item.  In seconds they gave me a price.  I tried it with my smart phone and got a picture of the bar code.

After we got home I got a table and set it up in the little bedroom.  We put the gifts on the table ready for wrapping.

Another Day in Utah County

This morning we drove up north to finish our Christmas shopping.  We stopped at the Wal Mart in Payson where we bought wrapping paper, some canned groceries for a charity, and a few boxes of candy.

Our next stop was Home Depot.  We bought two gift cards.  We then went to Sam's Club for house supplies.  While in the area we stopped a Penny's where Carol bought me a pair of pants.  We went to Orem and stopped at the distribution Center for two pictures of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints.  We picked up a couple more gifts.

We had lunch at a place called Blaze Pizza.  We went down the line selecting the items to be put on our pizza.  At the end they put it in the oven.  It was really good and different from most pizza place where we have eaten.  And much better than the frozen pizzas.   We ate three of the six pieces.  The gave us a small box for the other two pieces.  We ate those for supper when we got home.

We went to Sea Gul books where we bought a nativity set for our Christmas present to Ray and Mary Anne.

On the way home we stopped at a store designed for farmers and ranchers.

I have seen it several times and well as the huge distribution center in Payson.  It is called the CAL RANCH STORES.

I stopped here because I have never been in the store and also looking for a pair of bib overalls.

This is a huge store with everything use for home, farm, and ranch.  We did not stay long enough to walk through whole store.

We stopped in Spanish Fork for gas.  It is the cheapest gas that we have bought for a long time.

Our last stop in Utah County was the Red Barn where we got concentrated cherry juice and ice cream cones.  Finally we stopped at Kuhni's in Mills.  They process dead animals and one product  they produces is bone meal.  It is an organic fertilizer.  I wanted some to fertilize our tomato plants.

Service Car and Off to Walmartk

As soon as it was light enough I could see that the water mister was still running water.  After breakfast I called Deardens to have them service our car and do an oil change.  I then drove to Fillmore.  They took it right in, but it took about an hour before they were finished.

We then drove to Payson where we stopped at the Walmart store where we got a few things.  I bought Carol a wedding band.  She lost hers several years ago.  The clerk put it in a tiny paper bag.  I put the tiny bag in the cart with other things. I put the other things in the trunk and pushed the cart to the cart place. I walked away and the young man gathering the carts saw that I left that small bag. Holding it in his hand, he hollered "you forgot this" Grateful for honest people.

We went to Sam's Club, Home Depot, Penny's, Burlington, and bed bath & beyond.  We finished all of our Christmas shopping.  We gassed up at Costco in Spanish Fork and drove straight home.

Another Trip to Provo/Orem

Purpose of trip is to purchase Christmas presents for the grandkids and great grandkids.  We stopped at Walmart for some presents and things for us.  Sam's Club for things for us. Toys R us for presents. Then Babies R us for the two new babies. Deseret Book store for a couple of gifts. We got gas at Sam's Club, and the final stop was at the Red Barn.

Deseret Bookstore had some expensive nativity collections.  The one below was around $150.  It is very small and seems like it would not be too difficult to make.

 This was a count down board to Christmas.  A true countdown would start with 25 in the 1 position.

It was about 5:30 when we got home.  We unloaded the car.  I turned the water on for the ice display.
