Planted More Tomatoes

I started work in the garden.  I thought I would get a lot done, but had too many interruptions.  Just before lunch we drove to Fillmore where we had two prescriptions filled.  Everyone in the Drug store wore masks.   We went to Fillmore and back in us less than an hour.

I planted a row of tomato plants.  The first three are Cherry Banana.  The next ones are Juliet, and the last four are Cherry Banana

When finished I started the water running down the row.

I made four holes for the Burpless Cucumbers.   Then I put two handfuls of horse pellets in each hole.   Then I put a plant in the hole and backfilled around it.

I have a lot of Burpless cucumber.  I planted four in this row.   There are three plants in each hill.  The were easy to remove from the six pack.  I plan to build a horizontal trellis with tie wire.  Each row will be about sixteen inches above the bottom row.  There may be six rows.  I haven't tried it this way.

The tires on this cart were both flat.  I filled them with air and was able get the trays.

There were a stack of 1020 trays and another stack of 1206 trays.  I took them to the shed to get them out of the hot greenhouse.  The heat melts the trays some.

Shane and his crew are preparing house two for planting a new crop of hemp.

We boxed up more photos and mailed them to different family members.

We had three boxes and three large envelops.  Carol is counting the money.  It wasn't all that expensive.

This evening, Carol and I met with members of the Bishopric and got new temple recommends.

Church at Home-Sunday #2

Today being the second Sunday with no church meeting,  I shaved and put on some nice clothing for the day, instead of wearing overalls.  I then read the last chapter of the Book of Jacob in the Book of Mormon and posted it on Face Book.

After breakfast we listen to a fifty minute discussion on the Jacob 4-5.  It gave me some new insights on Zenos allegory of the scattering and gathering of the House of Israel.  We also watched the tweny-five minute church video on Abinadi and his warning to the Nephites.

We then got the photo albums started sorting the picture.  Each large envelop has a name on it indicating who is to get the photo.  There were many photos that would have to cut into piece because there several different person in the picture.  We shared them around.  We started again after lunch.  The photo above shows Carol putting photos on the right evenlop.

We went of a short ride through the streets of Holden.  Yesterday, the fire department burnt a house down for training purposes.  It just a pile of ruble today.

A sign of spring.  There are several forsythias in bloom at the cemetery.

There were several black and white phots in the books.  I think that our son Robert is the white hair boy below the picture of George Washington.  The teacher is on the back row to the right.  I don't recognize her.

The girl with the bubble gum is Carol.

All in all, it has been a good day.

Sixty Years of Pictures

Saturday morning is TV watching time.  Three wood working shows which two of them were reruns.  I watched them anyway.  I also brought the ward history up to date.  Two women passed away in the last two months.

The hemp grow guys built this pen where they are going to put all of the pots and thing that were in house four, which were moved to house three, which will be moved  to the pot pen.

More dafadils are about ready to bloom.  I cut some and took them to the house.

I found six more baskets for the tomato plants that will be planted.  I also found more seven foot half inch conduit pipes.  I am up to twenty-three plants with baskets.

Carol went to the post office and when she came back, she took me to see a house that was on fire with fire trucks and fire fighters.  The building was in in back of the fire truck garage.

The photo is taken from main street look to the west.  The above photo was taken from 100 west looking to the east.  The owners of the house gave the fire department permission to use the house in training.  The house has been vacant for many years.

Just before lunch we took one of the large photo albums and removed all the pictures and put them in different stacks to give them to our children and some grandchildren.  After lunch we did three more.  We labeled large envelops.  One for each of our children and some for grandchildren.  I put them in two boxes.

 I planted radishes in this raised bed and covered the seeds and then watered it.  I put welded wire netting on top to keep out the cats.

I planted red beets in this small bed.

Here are two bags of seeds.  One for red beets and the one on the right is for radishes.   The seeds came in the mail this morning.

An old picture that scand.  It took me hours to get my printer to scan.  This is a picture of me standing next to a redwood tree that we started from seed collected in California.  Now it is three of four times that height.

The is a photo of our grandson Holden a week or so after he got hit by a baseball bat.

The last old photo is a photo of the house where my mother lived west of delta.
