Saturday Irrigation

I was told by the water master that the water would be turned to me at six this morning.  It was a little after six when I got up.  I dressed and said my prayers, grabbed a rake and shovel and drove up to the ditch, The water hadn't been turned down.  I didn't have my phone, so I turned around and headed home.  Just then a truck headed south.  It was the water master.  He got the water running and then put in the gate which turned the water to our yard.  Richard and I went up several times to clean the screens.  The last time we went up we took out the screens.  We started the water on the east lawn first.  We moved the pipes to different locations to water all the grass and the front lawn east of the sidewalk. We then watered the back lawn, after it was well watered, we started water on the front lawns.

The only picture I got.  It shows the driveway in the afternoon shade.  The grass/lawn west of the driveway was well watered.  The pipe in the bottom of the picture is delivering water to the front lawn.  We fixed it so we can have time to eat lunch.  We worked more on the back lawn and then turned water into the orchard.  We let the water fun on the peonies and the orchard until the water was shut off.  The next person took the water around 5:30. We then had supper.  Anderew Brown then came and started the air conditioner going.  It was a simple fix.  He simply turned the switch to the on position.  The house started to cool down immediately.  Richard and I put all the pipes away.   We watched TV until we went to bed.

Richard Came

Worked all day.

Timpangus Temple

I was watching the clock waiting for 5:30 when Carol woke me up.  I showered and then dressed in my suit.  I didn't have time to make old fashion oatmeal mush.  Carol scrambled my egg.  She put it in a bowel and I covered it with ketchup.   I took my medications.  We were running late, and I couldn't find my recommend.  It is usually in the inside pocket of my suit.  I checked it earlier and didn't feel it.  We looked in other clothes and still didn't find it.  I took out all of the cards that were in my wallet, still no recommend.  We were going to go to the temple anyway.  I checked my pocket again and there it was.  We put our temple bags in the trunk.  Carol then drove the car to Linden where we picked up the Batty's and went to the temple, Carol stopped at the loading and unloading area.  I soon found parking spot close to the temple door.  There were several buses from the missionary training center.  The temple has been closed for a month for maintenance There were several buses of missionaries at that time also.  We had an enjoyable time today

I took a good photo of the temple with a cloudless blue sky.
We took the Batty's back home and got a fuzzy selfie.  Nyleen fixed us a good sack lunch which we eight one the way home.  I changed into my work clothes.
This a wet spot in the lawn at the south end of the west garden.
I dug it up and found the pipe that was leeking.
I uncovered more of the leaking pipe.  Elisha wanted to go to Fillmore for groceries.  I went to Roper's for some parts.

Planting Geraniums

As soon as breakfast was over, we went outside and began planting geraniums.

This are the geraniums that are under the front room window.  I used a garden trowel and made a hole in the soil.  Carol selected a geranium and handed it to me. I placed it in the hole and covered the root portion with the soil.

Elizabeth Left

I was up at the usual time this morning.  I showered, dressed, and shaved.  Carol was up a little later.  I started my old fashion oatmeal mush.  I then fed the cats.   Elizabeth then got up.  I fried Carols egg and made a couple pieces of toast.  Elizabeth scrambled my egg.  After breakfast she loaded her suitcases in the trunk.  It was a little before eight when we left Holden.  We were to meet Eric Gray at the pioneer park in Provo.  We were there long before Eric was there.  Carol used to live-in that neighborhood, so we drove past her old home.  Elizabeth lived for a short time in a basement apartment.    We went back to the park.  Eric parked his car next to us.   We loaded her stuff into Eric's car.  We said our good-byes and started home.

Left to right: Eric, Carol. Merrill, and Elizabeth.
On the way home we stopped at Home Depot for some flowers and vegatables.  I got five strawberry plants.  This is Carol reaching into the plant racks.
There were some interesting concrete blocks that held 2x4's for raised beds.  We stopped at Wendy's where we bought our lunch which we ate one the way home.
Just before we got to Nephi the was traffic jam.  We stopped in Scipio for gas.  It was almost one when we got home.
Tiger, our cat, scamp our other cat and two kittens are in the top bunk,
Here is another picture.  Tiger is missing in this picture.
We have several containers.  Here Carol
