Eric, Lisa, and Emi

Woke up to a surprise this morning.  About two inches of new snow.  After breakfast  watched my Saturday morning woodworking shows.  I got a few good ideas that I will try.  put on my hat, coat, shoes, and gloves and got the old shovel.
I opened the garage door and took this picture.  Not in the fore cast, but grateful for every little bit of snow we can get.
I got out the old snow shovel and pushed off all the snow clear to the road. I also done the our front sidewalk.
I was tired sitting around watching TV I walked over to the Stephenson's, the neighbors to the west of us.  It was just ice.  I went back home and got some ice melt and sprinkled it on their sidewalk.  I later learned that Raymond was at the Utah Valley Hospital in the intensive car room with Covid.

I got another photo of the growing geraniums.  They are looking healthy.
The bird feeder has been empty for a day or two, so filled it up today.
We have had a raised toilet seat in the bathroom since Carol's knee surgery.  I took it off, cleaned it and then sprayed it with a disinfectant.   I managed to get it back in the box.
Lisa, Eric, and Emi have been in St Gorge at a funeral.  They stopped by on the way home.  We had a nice visit and I got this selfie.  They brought us some more birthday and Christmas presents.

Eric, Lisa, & Emi

I was up early this morning and read from the Book of Mormon. Carol was up a little bit later.  Eric, Lisa, Emi were up much later.  I took care of the two chickens and then watched the three wood working shows.  The got up and fixed breakfast.  Bacon and eggs and bread were fixed.  They put the dishes in the dish washer.  After breakfast we visited and watched TV.

Eric drove me to the post office.  Why you may think?  His car was parked in front of the garage and I would be able to get our car out.  Eric brought his lap top and worked at the computer.

Around two we had lunch.   Lisa brought ham and cheese and  and bread.  we made sandwiches.  We were extremally happy that the spent some time with us,

I should have been taking pictures while we were eating and while we were visiting.  I got this phot of Emi relaxing in the swivel chair that Lisa and Eric got for us years ago.

Carol is having a operation on knee Monday morning, the day after tomorrow.  Eric and I gave Lisa a blessing.  I anointed and Eric sealed the anointing.
I wanted a selfie before the left.  I asked of a facey.  I don't know if that is a real word.  The spell check rejected each spelling try. ie. Facey, facee, facei   faceie. All I needed was a capital letter.

Unexpected Visitors

I wanted to start the trailing sprinkler this morning. As soon as it was light, I started the sprinkler.  When I came back into the house we started breakfast.    I walked out to check if there were any new earwigs.
I took the picture of this dahlia blossom.  It is the first one.
Being July 24, I put out the flag.
The wind was blowing over some of the corn in the south garden.  I put up another strand of twine on both sides of the corn to keep it from blowing over.  The lower strand of twine was blue and the higher one is orange.
Our surprize visiter showed up.  The called about an hour before they got here.  In the photo is Lisa, Dax, Britney, and Emi who is in a chair behind Lisa.  Britney and dax are wearing masks.
Before they left I took the picture in front of the used car that they bought.  The picked it up in St. George.
 I got two photoes.
I put up the fourth trellis wire training the burpless cucumbers.
I mulched the bush beans with some grass clippings.  Why?   To see if it would have any effects on the earwigs.
This evening I sprayed puncture weeds with round up.
I dug up more puncture weeds.  There were a lot of them north of house three.
Some of  the tomato plants in the south garden were branching.  I tied up some of the branches.

Day of Irrigation

It is our turn for irrigation water.  We were to get it at seven this morning.  I had lot pipe out from last night and the shovels and rakes in the truck.  I drove up to the head of the ditch and our water was there.  I put in the gate to stop the water from running west and turned it in our direction.

I didn't get any photos until a little latter in the morning.
About three feet west of house six this evening primrose is in full bloom.  It is one tough plant.  It has been walked on abused for years.  The bloom doesn't last long and wouldn't be noticed.   There are a bunch of irrigation pictures.   They are not in any particular sequence.
This one if felt very interesting.  It is a sewer pipe with holes on both sides.  The water came from the bottom and went up a slight incline.   The water came out the holes on either side.
This comes brings water from the main pipe down the east side of the house.  It hooks to the sewer pipe above.
This picture shows the water coming from the main ditch which start at the base of the at the end.
This pipe brings water from the main pipe and ends by the raspberry plants.
This is on the north side of the house. With different pipe lengths and 45 and 90 degree ells. I can take the water at different places on the lawn.   The pipes crossed the side walk and delivered the water east of the sidewalk.
The vegetable plants are doing well and I hope to plant them in the garden by next week.
I finished my turn and turned the water down to the Stephenson's next door.  The water was running muddy and by the time I got my smart phone to snap a picture it was running clear.
This photo show the backyard lawn with some pipe bring water to the north side of the lawn.
The poly was remove from house six late this afternoon.

Diana  and her friend stopped by for a visit a little after lunch.  Robert, Frank Williams and Diana helped with the Farmer's Market and other vendors three or four years ago.  I haven't seen Diana since then.

Lisa and Emi came this afternoon.  Lisa brought us some groceries and other things.   She also brought a Mother's day present for Carol.  She took photos that we have been saving for years with her.  She also took those belonging to April and Melissa.

Weekend: Saturday-Monday

Saturday January 19

I watched my three Saturday morning wood working shows.  The project on one of the shows was way to complicated and used more equipment that most weekend wood workers have in the shop,
There were a lot of people working in house two.  They are harvesting the flower buds.  They worked all day and some where there in the evening.
I hung up some of the tomato plants by their branches.  There are some small tomatoes.

Monday January 20

Lisa and Emi came last night and spent the night with use.  We had a good late breakfast.  Later, I gave them a tour of house two, four, five, and six.
A selfie of Me, Emi, and Lisa.  We are in house two.
Lisa and Emi in front of the hemp plants.
Emi and myself nearly surrounded by hemp.

Last week our washing machine became somewhat crippled.  The agitator limped along.  Late this morning, I called  Adam Remkes.  He was here a little before lunch.  He and his worker had in fixed in about fifteen minutes.  Carol then washed the sheets without any problem.

We drove to The Fillmore Costa Vita where Lisa treated us with some Mexican food.  We came home and we worked on our Picture Frame.  Emi is so good with these electronic devices. We called Amazon for instructions.  With the help Amazon we got it fixed.

After they went home, Later in the evening, I tried to upload some photos and couldn't.

Comments and questions are welcome.

Off to Lehi and Other Places.

We left at 8:30 for Lehi.  We planned to be at the home of Holden and Megan at twelve, so we stopped at Walmart, Sam's Club, and Home Depot.  We got a few supplies and then went to Lehi.  We followed the directions on my phone.  It took us right to their apartment.  We were going to meet Lisa at the Holden and Megan's apartment.  We both drove to the right street at the same time.  We didn't recognize their car.  We turned left right in front of them.  They followed us a hundred feet or so and we walked into their apartment together.  We visited for an hour or so.  Holden helped me some with eBay.   I took some pictures and Holden took the pictures of me.

Below is Carol and the new baby, Grant Danny Johnson.
Carol and Ezra.  Emi and Lisa Gray are on the left of the picture.
That's me holding little Grant.
It was hard to get a photo of Ezra. He would not sit on my lap or stand still,  I took a bunch of pictures and the one below is the best one.  Carol and Lisa are in the background.
We left.  There was a Chuck-O-Rama a mile or so away.  We followed Lisa.  That is where we had lunch.  We waited there for the waitress to come back and she took our picture. Getting a good against the window is difficult.  Lisa and Emi on the left and Carol and myself on the right.  I should have taken off my hat to get more light on my face.
One the way home we stopped at Costco for gas and the red barn for ice cream.  There were a lot of people getting ice cream and other things.  We got home about 4:30.  An hour later Carol fed the hungry cats.
