TV is Back

No photos.

I was up pretty early this morning.  I turned the thermostat to seventy-two degrees. I weighted, recorded my weight on my iPad.  Then showered, dressed, and said my prayers.  I read the next chapter in the Book of Mormon and posted it on Face Book.  I caught on journal from yesterday.  I fed the cats and started breakfast.  After breakfast I turned the TV onto some morning news.  The TV is still not working so I had to search for some news.  We watched different programing all morning.  We continued most of the afternoon.  We went for a drive around town.  When we got back, we turned the TV back on and it works like normal, Strange.  We had been home for about a half hour when Richard knocked on the door.  There is about four feet of snow where he works.  He may be staying with us for a week or so.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Thirty-two Geraniums

Picked up the mail this morning.  Carol rubbed against the three legged stool that I glued together yesterday.  Two of the legs broke off. 

I took the legs and the seat into the garage and sanded off the old glue.  I trimmed the glue off the legs.

I used Elmer's glue on one of the legs.  It balanced okay.  I came back a little later and glued the other two legs to the bottom of the seat.  The glue won't hold.  I will have to put a dowel through the top of the seat into the leg.  Or drive a large screw the top into the leg.  

I transplanted thirty-six geranium into 3.50 inch square pots.

Robert painted this picture of our tractor while in high school.  It is hanging on the wall by the front door.  Carol and I drove to Fillmore to get Richard.  He is coming home in a shuttle.  He called earlier and said that he would be there at six.  We were at the Paradise Inn fifteen minutes early.   He was there right at six.

Richard is Back

Richard called saying that he was about to leave St George in a shuttle, which is a small bus service from the south of this country to the north.  I left to pick him up in Meadow at  1:30 this afternoon.  I stopped at State Bank of Southern Utah to get my pass word fixed.  She was able to fix it.  I then bought some groceries at the Fillmore Market.  I drove to Meadow and parked behind the shuttle and walked through the store and Richard wasn't there. I started to park on the south side of the store.  Richard was sitting on a bench.  We then drove home.  I put fertilizer in the watering can watered the tomato seeds in house five and the geraniums in house two.  It is good to have Richard back.  He has been gone for nearly ten days.

Finished Shed

This morning I paid some of the bills.  I use bill pay.  I schedule the payments for the first of the year.  That took awhile.  I shredded all of the envelopes and unimportant papers.

This is a picture from yesterday.  This is how the shed looked when I went out this morning.   I cut a small piece of plywood to fill in what looks like a door way.  The opening is thirty-five inches wide.  I cut one that was eighteen inches tall and screwed it into place.  I found another piece that was nearly four feet tall.  I cut off a defective edge at the table saw.  I screwed it into place.  I needed one more piece.

It was cut to fit the slope of the roof.  The top edge was not straight.  I cut a straight edge at the table saw. I got a piece of wood and screwed the edge to the plywood.  I run it through the saw and ended up with a plywood piece that fit the space perfectly.  I drove in some screws.

On the other side of the wall, it shows the that stud was on backward.  In the above photo, the stud at the back is on right.  I had to remove it which was more difficult than I thought.  I took out all the screws and removed the top plywood piece.  I removed the screws that held the stud to the base plate.  The bottom of the stud was loose, but the top was not.  I pounded it with a heavy hammer and it still wouldn't budge.

This is how it looks from the inside of the shed.  All of the studs are on the right way.

Outside I removed more screws from the plywood.  I discovered that there was a screw into the rafter holding the stud in place.  I removed the screw and then removed the stud.  I turned it a round and began to put it in to place.  I had to make the notch large ant then was able to get it into place.

This is how it looked after I got all of the pieces back into place held securely with screws.

Here it is all finished except for the corrugated roofing.

I rolled on a tube the extra poly that was cut away from house four.  I put it away in house three.  

The tomato plants in house six are doing really well.   I tied them up a couple weeks ago and they have really grown.  I tied them up again.  Didn't get any pictures.

The weather has been really nice for this time of the year.

This evening Richard came by.  He will go home sometime on Thursday.
