Surprise

 After breakfast I watched the morning TV shows. Elisha called wondering if we were going to Fillmore she wanted to go with us.  We picked her. We stopped at the drug store to get some medication for the sores on my cheek.  I was a lot more expensive than I thought.  It was $150.  We then to the Love gas station and filled up the car.  We then went to the Fillmore Market.  We got a few groceries.  Elisha got more than we did.   We took her home.  We went to the post office.  There was no mail.  Robert was there when we got home.  He had been tilling in greenhouse two and tilling the south orchard.

He weeded in greenhouse six and dug up the rest of the alfalfa that had been growing there.

I asked him to help unplug the irrigation pipe.  We got a long garden hose.  We hooked one end to the water source, and he inserted the other end of the hose in the irrigation pipe.  He removes the saddle connection.  He was then able to remove a lot pinecones, needles, and other junk.   Here he is putting it all back together.

Emi's Celebration

 

Peas

The well was fixed.  The guy called me and said that the well was fixed.  We watered the baskets and tubs, the kidney, the dahlias and some of the lawn west of the driveway. After breakfast and the TV shows, we drove to Fillmore.  I had an appointment with the dermatologist.  The appointment was at one.  I called to make sure of the right time.  They said that I could come any time.  We soon went.  Carol waited out in the car.  I was soon in the exam room.  He didn't do anything. He gave me a prescription for a save that I would apply myself.  We then went to the drug store and as often happens they didn't have any and wouldn't have any until tomorrow afternoon.  We then went to the Fillmore Market where we bought groceries.  We then went to Roper's to get the screen for the back storm door.

I picked peas this afternoon, I was really hat in greenhouse five.  I worked the south side of the south row of pea vines. I sit on a chair while picking.  By the time finished my tote was full.   Carol washed them and put them in two grocery bags.  I put them in the fridge in the garage.  I ate the second half of the sweet potato.

Later this evening I picked rhubarb.  Carol cleaned it up.

This is a picture of the screen.  It took me a while pot it in and we hope that the cats won't climb it.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

 

May Tubs

Mush and scrambled eggs for me and a fried egg and toast for Carol.  After breakfast I we watched the channel 44 programs.  I said watched. but several times I fell asleep and missed the ending.  I had a can of soup for lunch.  I watered the baskets and tubs with water directly with water from greenhouse five.  After lunch I got the weed eater out.

A week ago we were at Wal Mart and bought two trays of bedding plants. We kept them on the rocker on the front porch.  I got some geraniums from greenhouse five that we also kept them on the front porch.  Carol made this arrangement in two other large tubs that we stored in greenhouse five all winter.

I did a some weeding with the weed eater.  The battery didn't last long.  I put the battery on the charger.

After the battery was fully charged, I did more weeding.  I weeded here until the battery died.

The Well Quit

After breakfast we watched some channel 44 TV shows.  I went out to water the baskets on the front porch and there was no water.  There was water in the greenhouses. I watered the plants in greenhouse five.   There was water in the other greenhouses.  I called well drilling and repair people in Delta several times and left messages for a call back but received no call-back.  I decided that if I could use some town water and run through my irrigation pipes, I could get enough water to water the baskets.  I drove to Roper's to get two female hose connects.  I also took a broken window screen to have it replaced.  The plan didn't work.

I connected two hoses together.  The one end came from the hose bibb in house five and the end went into the irrigation pipe.  I let the water run for quite a long time.  It didn't work so I shut it off.

Sunday & More

Saturday morning, I was up at my regular time.  I weighed and was a little over a pound lighter than yesterday.  I prepared breakfast.  After breakfast Carol put dinner in the oven and then made some chocolate pudding.  I set the oven to cook while we were at church. We got ready for church and then soon drove to our ward house.  After sacrament meeting, we met in the foyer and soon met with members of the bishopric for our temple recommend interview.  A page was printed containing the recommend.  We signed our recommend and the was signed by the councilor. We then went back to Sunday School.  We ate dinner. 

went to the stake house where we met with a member of the stake presidency.  Carol and I met with different members if the stake presidency.  They interviewed us to determine if we were worthy of a temple recommend.  They signed our temple recommends.  As soon as we got home, I laminated them.

We watched TV until we went to bed.
