We had a late breakfast this morning. We watched the morning news and the TV shows.

After lunch I started the lawn mower.  It started right up.  The two front tires were about out of air.  I drove it to the garage.
I got out the compressor and filled both tires full of air.
The temperature in house five was about 85.  The peas are doing well.
The chickens in the hen house were out of food.  I put more lay pellets into their feeder.  I gathered two eggs.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

The Temple Experience

We got up fairly early this morning.  We're going to the Timpanogos Temple this morning.  After I showered, I shaved and put on my suit.  I started a batch of old fashion oatmeal mush and then fed the cats.  Carol was up a little later.  I fixed breakfast.  We got in the car and headed for American Fork.  We were able to drive pretty fast because there wasn't any heavy traffic.    We picked up Miles and Nyleen Batty.  We then went to the temple where we met Lisa, Eric, Emly and Skyler Gray.

I was close to the Timpanogos temple when I took this picture.  I was almost looking straight up.  We were all on the same session.  After the session was over, Eric Gray went with me to get the car.  We took several family pictures.  We stopped at Sam's Club to update our account.  Once inside we went to the place where we could do this.  We waited in line and waited and waited some more.  Once we got to someone that could help us she couldn't give us any help.  She finally told us to come back some other time.  We got some hamburger and a two bottles of apple juice.  We had a longer wait than usual before we were able to check out. We decided to get gas while we were there.  The lines were short.  For some reason I couldn't get the pump to work. The display said to try again. I put my wallet down next to the pump.  I still couldn't get it to work.  I was ready to drive away and get gas somewhere else.  The was a worker at the other pump line.  Carol drove to it.  Before I got out of the car.  A man came over with a wallet, Carol recognized it.  It was my wallet.  The worker helped us get the gas.  If we drove away, it is likely that we would never see it again.  It had my driver's license and other important cards.  We were blessed.  Nyleen always makes us a lunch to eat on the way home.  We stopped at Walmart.  I had my iPad and I wanted to get it updated.  The clerk there helped me with it but he couldn't do it.  It had to be done at our house.  We then drove home. We were in a traffic jam in Nephi.  It was stop and go.  We finally got through Nephi and were able to drive home without any difficulty.  It was a little after four when we got home.
On the way to American Fork, there was another beautiful sunrise.  We watched it most of the way to American Fork.  We had a little lunch.  We then watched TV until we went to bed.

The Dermatologist

We got breakfast out of the way.  We drove to Fillmore where I met with the dermatologist and Carol went to the Fillmore Market.

I took this photo while waiting.
I took this photo while waiting for my turn.

When we got home, we put all of the Christmas decorations in the family room away.  It took all morning.  By the time that we finished the bathroom closet was packed full of the decorations. We had a late lunch.  I went to the post office for mail, and we didn't have any.  We also had a light lunch. I was in the little bedroom for over an hour sitting at the computer.  I was looking for a picture of me in Palmyra, New York.  I took a picture of the visitor's center.  Carol was close to the visitor center when I took the picture.  I didn't know her and had no idea that she would come my wife.  I didn't find any pictures.

I didn't get up very early this morning.  Richard got up and a little later Carol got up.  I made the old-fashioned oatmeal mush and then fed the cats. I prepared a regular breakfast.  After breakfast we went into the front room where we opened our Christmas presents.  We watched some of the morning TV shows.  We got several phone calls. We had a large lunch.  A little later Richard left. We watched some Christmas programs.  We talked to most of our children.  We also talked to April, our daughter in law.

I took this picture of the Green Arrow peas growing in house five.  They are about two inches tall.
The greenhouse temperature in house five is about 78 degrees.

Richard is Back

After breakfast I watched two of the channel 44 morning programing.  I then got the mail.  Carol and I drove to Fillmore where we bought a lot of groceries at the Fillmore Market. We bought some treats for the people that I minister to. Carol got some things for which she ministers to.  I called my ministering partner.  He picked me up and we went to three people.  He brought me home and I began to look at two large folders of pictures.  I am looking for pictures that I took while on my mission.  I took a picture of the visitors' center in Palmyra, New York.  Carol was there with a group from BYU, and she was in the picture.  I couldn't find the picture.    Richard came. Carol made a large batch of spaghetti. It was good.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Ray

I fed the cats and started breakfast. Carol showered and did her hair.  We didn't eat until Carol finished her hair. We watched the morning news and TV shows.  As soon as Matlock was over we drove to the home of my brother Ray and his wife, MaryAnne.  We gave them a Christmas present. We rang the door bell, and no answer.  We rang it again.  Still no answer.  We left the present and started to leave, then Ray opened the door and invited us in. The have the most beautiful Nativity sets that I have ever seen.  I forgot to take pictures. after a short visit we went back to Delta and did some needed shopping at the grocery store.  After lunch I went out to greenhouse five, I took a few pictures.

The above photo shows the dahlias that have started to grow.  They aren't supposed to do this.
The temperature in house five was pretty warm.
The green arrow peas are coming up.
After lunch I mowed the lawn.  The grass was not tall enough to cut any, but I mowed up the leaves.  The above photo show the east lawn.
This is a pictured of the back lawn.  There were a lot of leaves on the south side of the lawn.
The lawn mower started right up.  I drove it to the front of the garage where I pumped up the front tires.
I dumped the leaves on the garden.
The bags were rapidly filled, we watched TV until we went to bed.

We watched some other shows.   For lunch I had soup and a cherry creamy.  We watched the channel seven cooking shows.  Later this afternoon Carol and I drove around town.  Richard called and told us that he was on his way to our house.  Carol got the frozen dinner out of the freezer.  It was getting dark when he got here.  Carol started supper.  After supper we watched some of our favorite TV shows.

Presents Thursday

A couple of days ago we were in Utah county where we bought a lot of Christmas presents.  We went to several stores.  At the end of the day we drove home.  We stopped at Wendy's in Payson for a small hamburger, fries, and drinks.  We ate them on the way home.  It was a little after four when we got home.

In the afternoon we wrapped presents. Our children and their spouses. our grandchildren all got money and a chocolate candy bar.  Some of our children and our greatgrandchildren got a toy and a candy bar.  We were pretty tired when we went to bed.

Small Orange

I was somewhat confused this morning when I got up.  I thought that we were driving up north this morning. I was going to put on my nice clothes, I decided to wait until after breakfast.  Carol told me that we will go up north next Thursday and deliver our Christmas present then.  I am glad that I didn't put on my nice clothes.  I fed the cats and then prepared breakfast.  After breakfast we watched some of. the morning TV shows.  We went to the post office where Carol mailed the present for Melissa and Derick.   We then drove to the Fillmore market and bought some groceries.  I was out of motor oil.  We stopped at the dollar store where I bought four quarts.  We then came home.  I am having a lot of trouble with my tablet.  I can't get it to work right.  For lunch I had warmups from Sunday and the rest of the Jello.  After that Carol asked for a favor.  There were some dead left over petunia plants in the kidney that she wanted me to remove.  I needed the heavy rake.  I looked in the garden, in house five, and then in house six.  That is where I found it.

This is a photo of the kidney after I had raked off the petunias.
The rake was in house six.  The trees, fig plants, and the grape vines needed watering,  I watered all of them. The above photo is one of the fruit trees in house six.
This was the temperature in house five.  The sun was beating down on the greenhouse.
This is a photo of a small orange in greenhouse five.  This afternoon I worked way over an hour trying to get the photos off my camera.  I finally got the four photos.  Carol has been working on a different jigsaw puzzle.  I fed the cats.

Temple Trip

It was pretty late when we went to bed last night. In spite of that we were up early this morning.  We had an anointment at the ten o'clock session.  After showering and shaving and prayers, I put on my Sunday clothes. I fed the cats and then started preparing breakfast.  I put our two temple clothing bags in the trunk.  I also put a bag of lemon in the car that are for Nyleen, Carol's sister.  We almost got out of town, when I told Carol that I forgot my phone, We turned around and went home.  I got my phone and Carol got a coat.  We then on our way.

We saw the most beautiful sunrise in the east that I have ever seen.  We watched it for nearly ten miles.  I wanted Carol to stop so I could get a picture.  It wasn't practical to stop and take a picture, so I took two pictures through the window.  The one above is the best one.

This is the other one.
After the session, I got the car.  I stopped to take a couple of pictures of the temple.    It was cold and I couldn't tell what was happening in the camera,   I got the above selfie.
I did get part of a picture of the Timpanogos temple.
After we got back from the temple, Miles gave me a haircut.  Carol took two pictures.
This is picture number two.  On the way home, we filled the car with gas.
We went to Costco to do some shopping.  We walked through the store.  There so many people there that there were a lot of cart jams in both ends and in the isles.    The above photo shows people waiting in lines to check out.  We then went to the Payson Walmart.  Carol got some things.  I took my Samsung tablet to have them restart my tablet.  The clerk worked on it for a while and finally got it fixed.  He asked for a four-digit pin number.  I gave him one.  One the way home we ate some more of the lunch that Nyleen made for us.  It was a little after four when we got home. I put on my work clothes and then fed the cats.  I had a lot of trouble with the new remote trying to watch a You Tube program.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Robert & Richard

I didn't get up as early as I wanted too.  There was some snow on the ground when I got up.  I turned on the TV and got a good signal.  I started breakfast.  After breakfast I cleaned the sidewalk.  Robert came and then we went to work in pruning and in greenhouse five.

On the way home from the Timpanogos temple Tuesday we bought this poinsettia.  It is on a stand by the front room door.
I tried to get the photos in order, but they aren't.  Robert is tilling a row where we will plant Green Arrow peas.
Robert is making a bow out of rebar which will support a wire trailless for the grape vines.  He bushes one end into the damp soil.
Using tie wire Robert ties the top of the rebar to the greenhouse frame.
I cann't tell what Robert is doing.  I think that he is going to the next bow.
Here is another picture of Robert pushing another rebar into the ground. The yellow object is a chop we used to cut the twenty-foot rebar in half.
I pushed the one inch light snow off the driveway.
The snow on the sidewalk in front of our house.
The person that fixed our TV signal said that if we pruned the branches off this large pine tree, we would get a better signal.  So Robert got the electric chain saw and cut off the lower branches.
He is standing on a stepladder.
We put the branches in the pickup.
I got a tablet Tuesday.  I can't remember the password. I took it to Dan Speakman to see if he could fix it.  He couldn't.  I went back later in the day and took the tablet home.
This is the temperature in greenhouse five.
