Busy Day

As soon as i got up this morning I weighed, showered, prayers, shaved.  I turned on the morning news and fed the cats.  Carol got up and started the clothes washer, showered, and did her after breakfast we watched the morning TV shows.  Carol made a batch of brownies.  Elisha Bills came over and harvested more Red Bud tree seeds,

I filled a square pot with moist potting soil.  I put the seeds from the red bud tree in the pot.  I then covered them soil and watered them. I told Alisha to put them on the north side of her house.

Propagation

After breakfast we watched the morning channel 44 programs.

I ate the last of the spaghetti for lunch.  It was more than I wanted to eat.  I put a lot of shredded cheese on it.
Alisha came over.  She wanted the seeds from the red bud tree, I picked off some of the pods.  She set in the grass and took out the seeds.
I dug up some little lilac bushes.  I filled a pot with potting soil.  She made a hole in the soil and stuck in the small plants.  I left about two inches of water in the bucket.
It was a cloudy day, and the temperature was pretty cool.
One of our cats had kittens.  She brought then to the cat house and put them in.  One of the kittens is looking out of the bottom bunk.  We drove to Fillmore and bought some groceries.  I also stopped at the dollar store where I bought a bunch of short socks.

Robert Left/Richard Came

Robert is transplanting.

Several trays of new transplants.

Robert planted seeds into square pots.  Six watermelon pots and twelve Topaz melon pots.

Robert is spraying weeds in house six with Round-up.
I put small pots on the pepper plants in house six to protect them.  Robert sprayed thousands of weeds that began to grow there.
I have a water turn this afternoon.  Robert helped me laying out the irrigation pipes. The watermaster came by telling me that I had the water for six hours. I got the water at two and kept it until six.    After supper Richard helped me with the irrigation.  Later we put the pipes away.  Most of the lawns were watered.

I watched some of the morning tv shows.  Worked in the garden.

I watered both rows of onion plants.
I picked some more asperges stems.  There are new ones every day.
The redbud tree is loaded with flowers and lots of honeybees.
Beautiful red tulips in the kidney.
I turned on the drips in the dahlia garden. It is now working satisfactory.

Sunday

Church meetings went well.   We viewed the dedication of the Manti Temple which was broadcast in the Stake house in Fillmore.  We showed our recomends and went in an hour early.  The talks were inspiring.

Saturday

A normal morning.  Instead of watching the wood working shows I began to plant the onions.  Carol came out to the garden with me. I made the hole and Carol would hand me an onion and I put the root in the hole and press the soil around the onion,

We had finished planting two rows of onions.  The white chair is between the two rows.
We went to the Fillmore market for some groceries, and I bought 14 Celebrity tomato plants.  They were $1.98 each.  They are in greenhouse five,  I will plant the later.
I ran water down these two rows to prepare the ground for planting the onions.
The temperature in greenhouse five gets very hot with the afternoon sun.
I cut a nice bunch of asparagus.
This is where I want to plant the celebrity tomato plants that I bought this morning.

Richard came about six and spent the night with us.   We watched TV until we went to bed.
