Plum Tomato Plants

I woke up many times after I went to bed last night.  I weighted in this morning, then showered, and then said my prayers.  I fed the cats and then fixed breakfast.  I watched the morning news.  Then I watered the onions.  It is getting easier to do this. I finished weeding the tomato plants.

After Lunch, I got my weed eater and broke up the dried mustard weed that blew into our yard.  There we so many of them that it was hard to walk up the path that goes to the newly planted trees.
This is a photo of a spurge plant. It makes a large circle with branches extending in every direction form the root.  I got the shovel and dug up all of the red root weed.  Some were really tall but there were a lot of smaller ones that will be tall tomorrow.
I hung all of the plum tomato plants from the above pipe.
A burpless cucumber in the south garden.
This plum tomato plant has partially eaten by some deer.  Many of the other plants were also partially eaten by deer.  We watched TV until we went to bed.  It was a little bit after 11;30.

Robert Walked In

After breakfast, I worked in the south garden.  I strung up several tomato plants.  Several of the plants had two main branches. I tied them up to the rusty black pipe.  I worked out there until it was time for the Matlock TV show.  I walked in ready for the show when Robert opened the back door and walked into the kitchen.  We then went out to the greenhouses and checked everything out.  Robert started to prune trees on the front lawn. I loaded them on the truck.   He also dug up a lot of honey suckle shrubs on the east berm.  I loaded them on the truck.  We took it to the dump. I had to get my stiches out of my eyebrow.  While we gone Robert pruned some of the trees in the south garden.  In all we made three trips to the dump.

I took a couple of pictures of my face after the stiches were removed.
Here is the second photo.  Carol fixed a good supper.  Ann Stephenson and her twin sister stopped in for a visit.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

To Payson

Carol had an appointment in Payson this morning at the imaging center.  Her back may be causing some health problems.  It was 6:30 when we left.  There was some road construction along the way, but it didn't slow us down much.  When we got to their building, we were early.  We parked and wiated a couple of minutes before we walked in.

Carol checked in at the desk and then went right in.  I waited in the haul way.  There was several National Geographic magazines there.  One is setting on the small round table.  I looked at all of them and read some of the description of the pictures.   We then came straight home.  It was about ten when we got home.  I watched one of the channel forty-programs.
Some of yellow crookneck summer squash are germinating.  The photo shows the two cotyledons of one plant.
I spent the first part of the afternoon removing last year stakes, pipes, and wood posts in the row of plum tomato plants in the south garden.  I drove in three T-posts and made three new posts.  I wired them to the T-posts.  I then put up the rusty black pipe.  I had to climb up couple of steps on the ladder to put one end in the stakes.   I made a couple of mistakes and had to do it over a couple of times before i got the west end into positions.  I will make a couple of more adjustments the next time Robert comes.
Here is a photo the kitten nursing on the mother cat.  I looks like the mother cat is looking at me.
Here is another photo of the kitten and its mother.  I watered all of the plants except the onion plants.  I watered all of the plants on the front lawn;  I turned on the back lawn sprinklers, They run all night.  We watched TV until we went to bed.  It was around 11:30 when I went to bed.

No Pain

I woke up every hour during the night for a bathroom break. did shower but didn't get my head wet. I am not feeling any pain from the head injury that happened yesterday After breakfast I vacuumed the family room.  I then used a wet mop to clean the kitchen floor. By the time I finished it was time for my TV show.  I got the mail.

I then hung more burpless cucumbers.  The above photo shows a new cucumber, but I don't see it.
This photo shows the climbing zucchini.  There are a lot of male flowers.

I watered the chickens in greenhouse six.  There are two topaz melon plants showing male flowers.   We watched TV until we went to bed.

Twenty-fourth

I really slept in this morning.  I think I was up every hour for a bathroom break.  The next thing I knew was that it was 6:40 when Carol came in my bedroom and turned on the light.  I fed the cats and started breakfast.  Carol didn't eat much, but I had my regular breakfast.  The Holden ward is sponsoring a July 24 parade which started at nine.  I put a couple of chairs in the car and drove the church.  We found a good place to park.  We put the chairs behind the car facing the parade.  The parade theme was "Feed my sheep."  Different families created floats using the theme.

I was holding an umbrella to shade us from the hot sun.  I didn't start taking pictures until the parade was nearly over.
The American flag was put posted this morning; we came home for some lunch.  After lunch I watered all of the plants in the south garden, the potatoes, and pepper plants.  I also watered the summer squash again.  We had a little rain and thunder.  I was in greenhouse five raking up some dried-up plant material.
There was a black thing hanging on my bedroom gable.  Lisa said that it was a bat.  I knocked it down today.  I turned out to be a hummingbird hanging by its beak.  I was about four inches long. The white rooster in house six got out.  I went out to greenhouse six to see if it got back in.  It was in roosting its usual place.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Two Hours

I had a good rest last night.  I weighed, showered, morning prayers, and shaved.  I made a new batch of old-fashioned oatmeal mush. I fed the cats a mixture of the old and new cat food.  After breakfast I watered the plants in the front yard.  I watered the the plants by greenhouse three.

I gave the chickens in house six some old moldy rolls.  The chickens came after them, even the little chicks.  I also watered them.  We got dressed and went to church.  The talks were good and the priesthood instructor did aa good job.  I started exit through the south hallway, There were so many primary children in that hallway I went down the north hallway.  Carol was in the car waiting for me.   I went out the door and tripped on a short concrete wall.  It was about ten inches.  I tripped on it feel down and hit my head on another piece of concrete. It put a gash above my right eye.  There were some people there that helped me up and helped me into the car, I was bleeding.  I used a couple of handkerchiefs to stop the bleeding.
We went home where I changed into my overalls.  I took this selfie which show the bleeding injury. Carol then drove me to the hospital.  I went through the ER door.  There was a nurse there that helped me on the exam bed.  I answered a lot of questions.  He checked my blood presure and my oxgen level. A doctor from American Fork came in. They did a cat scan of my head to see if there was any brain injury.  There wasn't.  The nurse prepared me for sutures by deadening the injury.
I took a pretty poor selfie.
The nurser took the following pictures with my phone.
A complaining photo.
A happy photo.
Here is a photo of where I fell.  I tripped on the concrete on the left side and hit my head and face on the concrete in front.  I thought that there might be some blood there but there wasn't.  I watered the summer squash seeds that I planted a couple of days ago.  After supper we watched TV until we went to bed.

Water and Wash

I was up early this Saturday morning; I was able to read and post another chapter in The Book of Mormon. I also turned on the woodworking shows, they were reruns so I went to work on the front door.  Lisa was not able to finish it before she went home.  It is another hot day.  I had a memorial service at eleven this morning. I put on my suit and tie and picked up the mail.  I then went to the church house.  Not a car in sight.  I drove past the town hall.  There were a couple of cars parked there.  I then drove home.  We looked at the obituary in the Millard County Cornicle.  The memorial service is scheduled for next Saturday.  I was a week and fifteen minutes early.

I took out both glass sections and washed both sides several times. I couldn't get the pieces to fit.  I took off the screen.  That didn't help any.  I worked on it for over an hour.  All of the sudden it all went together.
I was watering the plants in the south garden.  I would water one row and sit on a chair in the shade.  There was one row of plum tomato plants.  Then a row of watermelon plants.  Then a row of burpless cucumbers plants and four rows of sweet corn.    While I was doing this, a hawk began to circle in the up drafts.  I took the picture.  I can't see it in the above photo.  Carol is putting a jigsaw puzzle together.  One of the hummingbird feeder is empty.  Carol filled it with sugar water and I hung it back up on the front porch.

Supper was some left-over food from our lunch.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Lisa Leaves

I was up pretty early this morning.  After my early  morning chores, I fed the cats and turned on the morning news.  Lisa got up and wanted to start washing the windows. I got out a couple of eggs. She cooked her own eggs yesterday.  Before she had breakfast, she needed a part for one of the windows.  She went to Roper's in Fillmore and got the part.  She went to the Fillmore Market for a small bottle of hone.

I dug more weeds in the dahlia garden and deadheaded the dahlias.  They really looked better.
There were a few arears just to the east of the driveway.  I turned on the hose on low and let it run.
Here Lisa is washing one of my bedroom window,  She is standing on a small step ladder.
This is a photo of a bat under the eves.
Here Lisa is washing the kitchen window.
The sunsets have beautiful the last couple of days.  Lisa fixed some roast beef and noodles for supper.  After supper she washed a couple of more windows.  She then went home.  We watched TV until we went to bed.  Lisa has been so helpful. She did all of the cooking and cleaning.

Lisa All Day

I fixed breakfast this morning except for Lisa.  I made her some toast, but she cooked her eggs.  I watered all off the plants in the south garden and also cut small weeds.  I also dug a lot of weeds around the the grape and fig plants.

This is a photo of one of the grape plants in house five.
I tied up most of the burpless cucumbers plants,  There will soon be some small cucumbers.
Water running on a row of corn.
Lis came here in this Honda car.
Here I planted crookneck summer squash.  I prepared the soil yesterday
