St George & Back

Richard went under the knife yesterday morning.  He had surgery on his back.  The doctors did work on his back and then went in to the back below the chest.  The four and one half hour surgery went well according to his doctors.

The Japanses Zelcovo tree was started from seed.  A branch broke in one of the spring snow storms and you can see the branches hanging towards the bottom right corner.  I put up a folding ladder which wasn't high enough.  I put up and extension ladder; it reached the branch.  I carefully climbed the ladder and was able to cut it off.
