TV is Dead

I was up pretty early this morning, hoping that the TV would work.  I turned it on, and still not working.  There was a number to call.  After breakfast I called it. It was answered by asking me questions.  I couldn't answer them satisfactory.  I finally talked to a real person.  He didn't speak clearly.  After about twenty minutes he told me that a technician would come to our house sometime Monday morning.  Lunch was beans and warm-up chicken pieces.  We watched Azerbaijan movies for about three hours.  We got really tired of it, but it was pretty interesting.  I took the following pictures this afternoon.

These tomato plants are getting their first true leaves.
Lot of flowers on the forsythia bush in the front yard.
Our green arrow peas are coming.  The snow and rain have really been helpful.
Look at the rhubarb is looking good.
The cherry tree in the back yard is growing buds.
The grape vines in greenhouse five are growing new branches.  I think that we can expect grapes next year.
Carol's pomegranate bush is showing signs of new growth.
It has been cloudy all day.  The temperature has been low all day.   We have been watching You Tube videos all evening.  Monday afternoon we should be able to watch regular programing.

To the Temple & Back

I watched the clock much of the early morning.  I wanted to get up at 5:30.  I got up several times to go to the bathroom.   Finally, it was time to get up.  I showered, shaved. made my bed and said my prayers.  I dressed in my Sunday clothes.  I started my old fashion oatmeal mush and then fed the cats.  After breakfast I opened the east door of house five.  We then drove to American Fork.  It was spring break and there was quite a bit of traffic, but it didn't slow us down much until we got into Utah county.  We picked up Miles and Nyleen Batty.  We pulled in front of the temple.  They got out and I found a handicap parking spot close to the temple.  There were three large buses that was loaded with missionaries from the missionary training center in Provo.  We had a good session and then took the Batty's home.

We drove around Lindon.  Carol parked the car.  I was inside their house and took this picture of the Lindon temple out the window of their family room.
I was on their driveway in behind our car for this picture.
This a better picture of the temple.
I was in the back seat of our car and got a picture of some of the traffic.

We stopped at Walmart for some groceries and supplies on the way home.   We also filled the car with gas.   We then drove home.  While we were gone the TV was fixed. I was an answer to my prayers.  It was about 2:30 when we got home.  After supper we watched TV until we went to bed.

Well & TV

The above pitcher shows a section of pipe that I cut out.
Regular morning.  Watched the morning news.  After breakfast we watched the channel forty-four TV shows.  I got the mail.  We had lunch.
I then walked out to the well and turned down the water.

When i walked back to the garden this is where water was running.  It took me quite a while to dig it up.
It was pretty hot when the sun was shining.  I left the east door open.  With cloud cover, it cools off.
My neighbor came over to help me connect to you tube.  This is the screen he ended up with.  I need to get the remote shown in the above photo.  We are going tomorrow.   We watched TV until we went to bed.

cookies

I was up fairly early this morning.  I fixed breakfast.  After breakfast we watched the three TV shows and part of the fourth show.

I went to the post office.  There was a large package for me.  I was expecting it yesterday.  I was the grass catcher that I ordered about ten days ago.  It really looks good.  I broke it sometime last fall.
Elisha Bills was coming to make cookies at ten.  She called and said that she couldn't come until four.  She came and four.  Carol had everything ready for her to make the cookies.  The above photo shows some of the cookies.
Carol is visiting with Alisha and showing her book of pictures of what Jesus Christ might look like.

Monday Snow

It was a little late when I got up this morning.   I turned on the TV for the morning news.  There wasn't any signal.  It was getting light, so I put on my shoes and went outside.  It looked like two inches of snow on the dish.  I cleaned it off and still no signal.  My old-fashion oatmeal mush and then fed the cats.  Carol gets up and washes the clothes.  I fixed breakfast.  We watched the Azerbaijan video.   It was two hours long.  We watched the first hour and then drove to Fillmore for some groceries. There was any new snow in Fillmore.  We then came home.  We turned on the TV and it was working.

We put pot with a dahlia plant in it.  It is beginning to grow.
This poinsettia froze during the winter when the furnace failed to come on.  I pruned off all of the dead stems and leaves.  It looks like it will grow.
I checked on the plants in house five,  There was a lot of cloud cover, hence a cooler temperature.
This clay pot that is on the patio contained a little over a half inch of water.
There was no snow or ice on the dish.  When we got back Fillmore, we were able to watch TV.
I took this picture from the back porch looking south.
Looking at the snow on the back lawn.
This is the snow on the east lawn.  The truck on the left side of the picture.
This is the snow on the front law.
This a picture of the snow in the north garden.   After supper we watched TV until we went to bed.

Snow Again

Sunday morning.  I was not in a hurry to get up.  I did my usual routine; Carol was up a little later.   It snowed during the night. I went out and cleaned the snow off the dish.  Still no TV signal.  I went out the second time and cleaned some more. Still no signal.  I didn't prepare any breakfast.  She wondered why?  I said that it was fast Sunday, we then fixed breakfast.  I didn't have any mush, so I had a bowel of Cherrios.   There was no choir practice this morning, so I made a batch tapioca pudding.  When we got to church, we discovered that it was fast Sunday.   There were a lot of children that bore a short testimony.  There were also adults that bore testimonies.  The priesthood lesson was good.  We then came home for dinner.  It was in the oven.  Carol served it.  The chicken in the Casserole didn't taste good.  It was tough.

Snow on the back lawn looking to the west.
The afternoon temperature in greenhouse five.  It varies a lot depending on the cloud cover.
Most potted plants are in this photo, I had warm-up for supper.  I took out the chicken, cut it into small pieces and fed them to the cats.  It has rained and snowed off and on most of the day.  Later in the afternoon the TV came back on. It was a slow process.   We watched TV until we went to bed.

Neighbors

I didn't plan on sleeping in this morning.  When I got up, I weighed, showered and said my prayers.  I opened the blinds and fed the cats.  I turned on the morning news.  Carol got up and showered.  I started breakfast.  We watched the morning shows on channel 44. The TV signal was dropped from time to time which made it hard to follow the story line. After lunch we watched another show. When it was over I went to work by the well.  The pictures are in a random order.

I cut down a small poplar tree.  It was about eight inches in diameter.  Later I painted the stump with round-up.
There were electrical wires from the power source to the pump that was 100 feet near the bottom of the well.  There is another wire that goes to the pressure regulator.  It is in the white PVC pipe.
I cut down a Russian olive tree.  It didn't fall the way that I wanted it to fall, it fell on me and knocked me down.  One of the thorns went into the side of my right arm and another went into the back of my left hand.  Both bled a lot.  The one on my hand required a band aid to stop the bleeding.
This a piece of shade fabric.  I put them on top of a greenhouse.  It helps to keep the greenhouse cool in the hot summer.  I put it in back of the truck.
While I was cutting down a small Russian olive tree the chain came off. the tree fell on me, and I fell over.  It took me a long time to get the chain back on.
This box was full of yellow jacket wasps.  I sprayed it with WD-40.  Later we opened it.  The wasps were all dead.
I threw the branches from the Russian olive tree in a pile north of the tree.
Here is a couple of feet of the Russian olive tree that fell on me.  Later I cut it off near the ground and treated it with round-up.

My neighbor helped me to get the well to work, He helped me for over an hour.  We concluded that the pump wouldn't work and need to be replaced.  I called Rhodes pump sales and service.  They didn't answer.  I left a message concerning the pump.  After supper we watched TV until we went to bed.

A Strange Morning

I thought that we would be going the Timpanogos Temple this morning.  I got up, weighted, showered, prayers and shaved.  I then put on my suit and white tie.  I then made old-fashioned oatmeal mush.  Carol got up and wondered why I had on my Sunday clothes.  I looked on my laptop computer. It said that we are going this morning.  Carol told me that we are going a week from today.  I then scheduled the Timpanogos temple.  We had breakfast, lunch and supper.

I wanted to turn on my well.  I went all over the yard and shut off all of the hose bibbs.  I turned on the power and had a little water running.  But that was all.

I removed the pressure switch cover.
This picture shows the pressure switch cover.

Wednesday/Humpday

I weighted as soon as I got up this morning.  I then showered, dressed, said my prayers.  I turned on the morning news and fed the cats.  We watched the channel 44 TV shows.

We took the house garbage to the dumpster.
I opened the east door of greenhouse five.  The temperature was nearly 90 degrees.  Later in the evening I watered all of plants growing on the benches,

I made omelets for supper.  They are always good.  Carol fried the bacon, onions, and bell peppers. I prepared the cheese.   We watched TV until we went to bed.
