Las Vegas & Back in Two Days.

Wednesday

We drove straight to Las Vegas with one gas stop in St George and a couple of bathroom breaks.  When we got in Anne's neighborhood, we had a little trouble getting on the right street.  The above pictures shows three boxes of tomatoes and another box of cucumbers.
I walked around Anne's small backyard.  The pomegranate shrub has a lot of fruits on one branch.
A lot of fruit on the lemon tree.  It make take a couple more months before the are ripe.
Here is a close-up of the green lemons.
The girls discussing the merits of fresh fruit.  Left to right:  Nyleen, Anne, and Carol.
Soon we followed Anne and Fred to a Mexican restaurant where we had lunch.  Left to right around the tables.  Merrill, Anne, Fred, Miles, Nyleen, and Carol.  We had good food and a good visit.
I good picture of Fred and Anne Belhasen.  Fred is growing a beard.

Thursday

We drove to mesquite where we had reservations at the Virgin River hotel.  We had some difficulty finding our room.  At first we had a room that were going to share.  We walked down to the registration desk and straightened it out.  We had adjoining rooms on the top floor, which was the third floor.  We then went out to eat.  After looking around for a place to eat, we ended up at the drive up window of MacDonald's.  I got a chicken sandwich,  Carol got a extra large hamburger.  We drove back to our room and set around a table for supper.   We had a pretty go rest and were up at six Pacific time.
We had breakfast at the buffet.  There was a lot of good food.  We had all that we could eat.  The picture above:  Merrill, Carol, Nyleen and Miles.
In Cedar City we stopped for gas again.  There were now restrooms here.  We drove to Walmart where we took care of that conceren.
We Drove to Beaver, Utah for ice cream.  We always stop her when going home.
We ate our ice cream while sitting on some benches.  Miles and Nyleen are pictured above.
Merrill and Carol.  It looks like we have had a ragged day.  We really looked better than what this photo shows.
Several years ago I grew these black locust trees for Cove Fort.  There are three trees.

Here I am standing in front of one of the trees.
A beautiful flower bed at Cove Fort.
Back in Holden I made some braces to hold up the tomato plants.

This photo shows the length of one tomato branch.
One of the braces is placed under this horizontal branch to hold it up.
 One more picture
I picked tomatoes for miles and Nyleen,  There were a bunch of spoiled ones which I fed to the chickens.
I cut down one of the plant varieties called.  Coyote Cherry.   In the photo above are some empty spaces where the tomato plant was places.
I removed the tomato clips and piled the plants out side the door.

Comments and questions are welcome.
