Funeral in Springville

It rained some during the night.  The drive way was wet and some good sized puddles on main street.  a frying pan in the chicken run had what looked like 1/3 inch of water in it.  This is the first rain that we have had in two months.

We put on our Sunday best and to drove to Springville for the Funeral.  Patrick Grady Bauer who passed away early last Sunday morning.  October 13, 2019.  I entered the address in my phone last night.  We started driving this morning.  The phone gave the directions and miles left, etc.  I pushed something on the phone and ended up heading for Texas.  We would get there in twenty-two hours.  o finally got it going to their ward house in Springville.  We exited the freeway and my phone was telling us to turn right, left, right, etc.  There was not much of a direct way.

The funeral went well and speakers and participants were good.  After the funeral we drove to Santaquin cemetery.  It took a whiled to find it.  We rode with Lisa Emi.  We parked just outside of the fence, and it was a short walk to the burial location.  We waited for quite awhile for everyone to get there.

After the graveside service Lisa wanted to go to the Red Barn for apples and apple cider.  It was about a mile from the cemetery.  We drove there and then went back to the church where lunch was served.
Near the burial plot where Grady is to buried is the bench.  It an unusual headstone.  Listed are those that are buried there plus family members.  Carol needed a place to sit while waiting for everyone to arrive.  Lisa is in back. And Emi is behind Lisa.

We took a cactus to give to Carol's sister and she was going to gift it one of her friends.  It was so late when the dinner was over we called Nyleen and told her we would bring it back Monday.

On the way home we stopped at Costco for gasoline and drove past the Red Barn.  We stopped a Wendy's in Nephi.  I went in to get an ice cream cone.  I waited a long time and discovered that they didn't have cones.  I then went in where they sale gas and got to Diet Coke drinks.
