Linden, Grapes, Juice, Temple

Monday

This morning after breakfast I picked some zucchini and cucumbers, We took some to the post office and then on to Linden. We stopped at the Payson Wal Mart and go a bunch of items which included cat food, paper products, and a couple of toys. We then went to Linden and got a small basket of grapes, and two large boxes of grapes.

I didn't get any photos while at Nyleen and Mile's place of the grapes that they gave us. We started home on highway 190 which went through Orem's beautiful street landscape. I took the picture after we passed through most of it.

As soon as we got home we started to juice the grapes. Above is a photo two piles of washed grapes. We steamed batches of grapes.

As soon as they were steamed, we put them into quart bottles. At the end of the day,, which was about 10:30 we had twenty-eight quarts of juice. We are going to the temple early in the morning. We went right to bed.

On the left is a canner where we can process seven quarts at a time. On the right a batch of grapes are being steams. The juice comes down the yellowish tube. We release the clamp to direct into the bottle.

This is a bucket with grapes from our own grape vines.

Tuesday

We were up early for the temple. We left home at 9:15, picked up Ann, our neighbor. We had a good experience at the temple. After we finished at the temple, we went to Barton home for lunch. There were a lot of temple workers and their spouses there. We had a dinner of hamburger and buns with several salads and deserts on the side. The Barton's have a beautiful landscaped yard. I took pictures of the yard and people there.
