Canning V-8 Juice

Busy morning.  Yesterday I picked a lot of tomatoes.  This morning Carol washed all of them and got them ready for canning vegetable juice.  She has a puzzle that completely covers the kitchen table.  After breakfast that I ate at the kitchen counter and Carol ate sitting at the sofa.  She cut away and cracks and spoilage in each tomato and put them in our big steel canny pot.  With a hand grinder I ground them into juice.

Carol went to Fillmore for celery and peppers.  While she did that I picked cucumbers, tomatoes and pulled up some red beets.
I have a tray of Gambel Oak.  Most of them died during the winter.  I removed the dead ones and ended up with thirty-eight plants.

The tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients are well cooked.  The pot at the bottom has been cooking for over an hour.  The mix is put in the colander where the juice is pushed into the pan.
I did most of it but Carol has posed for this photo.
This is my job.
Carol fills the bottles.
I dug one hill of potatoes and got three good size potatoes.  I also pulled on onion.  I watered them this afternoon.  The was wet and easy to pull.  If the soil is somewhat dry, I can't pull them.  I need to dig them up.  I also pulled some weeds that were in the onions.
The hoop was leaning to the south.  I drove in this T-post.  I got some tie wire and pulled the hoop to the north and wired it to the T-post.
I delivered some cucumbers to the Bennett's and on the way home I took a picture of the sunset.  Beautiful.
