Trees Planted

It was pretty late when we went to bed  I got up a couple of times for a bathroom break.  It was 6:20 when I got up. I weighted, recorded my score, and the showered, dressed, shaved, started cooking my old fashion oatmeal mush. I then fed the cats.  I started breakfast.  Carol got up, showered and done her hair.  After breakfast I watched my morning TV shows.  I went to sleep watching third on and missed the first half of the show; Robert came and went out to house five and started getting the fruit trees that he brought.

He put the trees in buckets of water to bet them ready to plant.  We planted about thirteen fruit trees.
We stretched a string on the south side of greenhouse five.  The string was about eight feet from the greenhouse.  We put a bamboo stake every eight feet along the string.
I get the chickens in greenhouse six.  There are eight eggs in the northeast corner of house six.
We planted two plum apricot trees north end of house five next to house six.
Robert had a lot of seeds that he planted.  He brought a large bale of potting soil that he put in the wheelbarrow.
This is the picture of the two plum apricot trees.
Robert planted six fruit trees on the north side of the shade house.

I used the weed eater to clear the weeds from around the bamboo stakes.  Robert planted the fruit trees.  He pruned the trees and took home the cuttings.  He hopes to start some when he gets home.  Carol and I watched TV until we went to bed.

Snow

It was late when we went to bed last night.  We watched two Rosemary and thyme shows on TV.  It was really late when I got up. I turned on the TV.  It snowed during the night and the dish was covered with snow.  I showered got dressed and went outside and with my long-handled broom I removed the snow off the dish.  Carol got up.  I fed the cats and then started breakfast.  After breakfast we watched the morning TV shows on channel 44.

This is the snow on the front yard looking to the northwest.
This is the snow on the east lawn. You can see my tracks when I uncovered the satellite dish.  I had another serving of the potato casserole for lunch.  We watched some more tv.  i was in my bedroom looking through two drawers of papers which if compiled would make a good history of Carol and me and our family.  There were also a lot of photos.
I gathered seven eggs form six hens.   We had omelets for supper.  We watched TV until it we went to bed.

Trellis Finished

After breakfast I turned to channel 44 and watched those shows.  I fell asleep and missed part of them.  At eleven I went to the post office to get the mail.  We didn't have any.  The photos below are not in order.

One of the bulbs in the kitchen light is burned out.  I got the ladder and removed the nut and washer. It was quite hard, but finally got the lights on covered.  I removed the old one and replaced it with a new one.  It was easier to replace the glass cover.  I found a small tool that helped a lot.
I watered all of the small fruit trees in house six.  I filled the buckets and carried them to each plant.
I fixed the trellis and used turnbuckles to make it tight.  The turnbuckles is attached to a large nail pounded in the ground.
There is another turnbuckle on the other end.
The trellis can be seen on the left side of the above photo.
The photo above is taken from the other direction.
I bought this bag of lay pellets a couple of days ago.
I filled the self-feeding bucket with lay pellets.  We watched TV until we went to bed

House Five Trellis

I was really late getting up this morning. I weighed and recorded my weight. I showered and made mush. When my mush was finished, I discovered that I had a bowel of mush in the fridge.  Now there are three bowels of mush in the fridge.  I got breakfast ready.  We watched some of the channel 44 pregaming. I picked up the mail.  We then went to Fillmore where I got some lay pellets for the chickens.  We then went to the Fillmore market for some groceries.  It didn't take long to spend $90.00.  We then came home. I had a melted cheese sandwich and ice cream for lunch.
After lunch I got the trellis that was in the garden and took it to greenhouse five.
I unrolled in in house five.  There is a row of green arrow peas on the south side of house five. I got all of the four-foot pieces of conduit that I could find.  I moved the trellis over to the row of peas.
I pounded the conduit at an angle in the ground.  The trellis was hung on the conduit so that the bottom of the trellis was four of five inches above the peas.  You can see the trellis in the above picture.  I will finish it tomorrow.
six eggs today

Fast Sunday

I got up with plenty of time to way, shower, say my prayers, and shave.  Carol was also up.  I turned on the radio to listen church programing.   Since it was fast Sunday, we didn't have breakfast.  We had food left over from yesterday when Robert was here.  I put on my old suit and got ready for church.  Carol was soon ready.  We waited a little longer and went to church.  After church, priesthood meeting, and relief society meeting.  We came back home.

Our dinner consisted of the food that was left over from yesterday.
Carol finished the huge puzzle that Lisa gave her.  It covered most of the kitchen table.   After dinner, we watched channel eleven programing.
I went into greenhouse six. The small hen was not on the eggs.  There were eight eggs in the nest and most likely laid by the two hens.  I watered the plants in greenhouse five. Carol's sister, Nyleen called.  Their sister, Marge was in the hospital.  My brother Ray called.  Our sister, Annalee was in the hospital.  She will be out in a couple of days.  We watched TV until we went to bed.

Robert Helped

I set my phone alarm to wake me up at 6:20. It woke me up right on time.  There was plenty of time for me to read another chapter out of the Book of Mormon. I got breakfast ready.  Carol started the washing and then showered and done her hair.  I went to get the mail.  When I got back, Robert was here and began working in greenhouse five.  The following photos show Robert at work.  They are not in any particular order.

Some of the figs were in one square pot with a fig plant in each corner.  Here Robert planted them in square pots.

I put the house garbage in this large black garbage bag.  He took it to the dump on his way home.
We did so much transplanting that we ran out of bench space.  We had to move all of these 2x4's to make room for more plants.
Here Robert is transplanting into new trays.
The new bench is in the above photo with all of the plants.  Most of the plants ar geraniums.
This white hen is sitting on seven or more eggs.
The six chickens in the hen house produced six brown eggs.
Another photo of Robert and the fig plants.   Robert went home and Carol and I watched TV until we went to bed.   Please LIKE, SHARE and LEAVE A COMMENT! We want to hear from you!

After lunch I transplanted all of the geraniums. There is about 164 geraniums total.  There trays are all lined up.  I also watered all of the plants in house five.
We bought some groceries at the Fillmore Marlet and then Carol bought some greeting cards at the Dollar Store.  Carol also got her medications at the Service drug store.  We had to park in back because they are completely remodeling the store.  They are making it much larger.  I had a chicken pot pie for supper.  There were seven eggs in greenhouse six. I read another chapter from the Book of Mormon. We watched TV until we went to bed.  The weather has been cold all day.

Watered Trees

This was a strange morning; I woke up many times during the night for a bathroom break.  It was a little before five when I got up.  I showered, dressed, said my prayers and then fed the cats.  It was time for the morning news.  I turned on the TV and it was all Utah news.  It was then when I discovered that I was up and hour earlier then I should have been.  I turned off the TV and read chapter three of Mosiah in the Book of Mormon.  I got some of the food ready for breakfast. Carol got up later.  She showered and done her hair. After breakfast I turned on the channel 44 TV programing and watched some of the shows.  Later in the morning I picked up the mail at the post office.   I walked out to house five to see how the plants were doing there.  For lunch I ate the last of the sweet potato and some ice cream.  We watched more TV.  I also had to mail a birthday card to one of our great grandsons.

After breakfast we watched some of the channel 44 programing.  I had a roast beef sandwich for lunch.  Alisha Bills called and wanted to plant some hollyhocks.
She had three packages of seeds.  We planted in twelve o six tray. She made holes in each cell and she had enough seeds to put two seeds in cell.  Alisha Bills is pointing to the tray that is on a heating pad.

Cold Snow

Nothing unusual this morning.  After breakfast I watched channel 44 programing.  Carol suggested that I fertilize the front lawn before it rained.  This was after we had lunch.  I got the fertilizer spreader that was in the shed. I raked the leaves that were on the east side of the driveway.  I put the nitrogen in the spreader and started on the front lawn.  I had enough fertilizer to do the front lawn. I even did the lawn east of the shrubs. I was raining some when I finished.

This afternoon it began to snow.  The above photo is the front lawn
This photo is the back lawn.  I watered the plants in house five.
One more egg from the hens in house six.  Four eggs in total.
Five eggs from the six hens in the chicken house.  I had large plated of potatoes, meat and carrots for supper.    I also ate the last of the potato salad.  We watched TV until we went to bed.
