Paul Johnson Funeral

This morning we had a fried egg on a piece of toast.  I had catchup on mine and Carol had mayonnaise on hers.  After eating our toast and egg and a final bathroom break, we got in the car and drove to Tooele for the funeral.  We drove towards Delta and took the short cut to Lynndyl.  It rained a little or had rained most of the way.  Carol had a need to go to the bathroom as we drove through Lynndyl.  The need become greater as we drove.  As we got closer to the road to Tooele it was getting ergent.  A sign ahead said rest stop was closed. we turned to the right on the exit road.  There was a cable across the road.  I lifted it up and we walked through.  The women's side was locked so she went into the men's side.  It was very dirty was an under statement.  I went back to the car and got most of the paper napkins that were in the car and gave them to her.  We were soon on the way to Tooele.  I used the map on my phone which helped us to get on the right road.

We found the church after a few turn arounds to get on the right road.  Once at the church we went through the line and expressed our sorrow to his wife and eight children for the death of my brother.

The funeral services were the best that I have ever heard.  All of the speakers spoke of the importance of the Jesus Christ in our lives.

We went to the cemetery.  It was quite cold.  Carol wore her light jacket. We were able to sit on the front row under a canopy.  Robert drove our car to gate which was much closer the grave site.  We then went back for a dinner prepared by the people in Paul's ward.  The dinner was really good.
Paul's brothers and sisters and cousins are in the above photo.  Carol and I are on nine and ten from left to right.
Another photo.
The ride home was enjoyable because the fluffy clouds and we could see forever on a clear day.
We were facing the sun so when a large cloud obscured the sun, I took the pictures.  We stopped in Delta and filled the car with gas.  It was a little after four when we got home.  I fed the cats  and then got some Christmas presents that Melissa and Derik gave us.  Betsy also gave us a present.
