It is dark when we have breakfast so we waited until breakfast was over and it is a light. The sun is just coming up.
We started to pick the pole beans. There were a lot of them. There were a few that were too old.You can see how thick they are.
This hoop makes it really easy to pick. We were able to pick handfuls at once.
When finished we had a five gallon bucket 3/4's full. We took them into the house. Carol washed them and we snapped enough to fill seven half pints.
Carol told Tina Stevens at the post office that we had extra tomatoes. Her tomato plants have not done well so we gave her these. I picked three buckets of tomatoes for her. Most came from house six. All the ripe ones are picked. There will be more tomorrow.
We left them on her front porch. The zip bag is full of parsley.
The scallions, beets, and leeks are doing really well. The scallions are above, and the beets are below and the leeks below the beets.
A bucket of onions, tomatoes, and beets at the top of the bucket. Egg plants, cucumbers and scallions are at the bottom of the bucket. I gave these to Ann and Raymond Steven who live next door.
I don't recall the name of this volunteer plant. Every year comes up and now is quite pretty.
I am propagating two tomato plants. on the left is tomato with orange fruit which I haven't seen before. I on the left is labeled EO18. And the one on the right is labeled E18.
