July Fourth

As soon as I got up, showered and dressed I turned on the water.  I watered both sides of the kidney and the geraniums under the front room window and under Carol's bedroom window.  I also watered the other flowers and plants.

It is the fourth of July.  Everyone else in town had a flag and we didn't have ours.  It looked like when they came with the flag, the sprinkler was running and would have got the flag wet.  I was going to call someone and report that we had been missed.  Carol looked out the window and the flag was in placed.
The parade in Fillmore was to start at ten.  We drove over and found a place in the shade on the east side of the street.  We were there a half hour before it started.  I took a bunch of pictures.  Across the street from us was the old Ashman store.  It has changed hands several times in the last couple of years.
Most of the floats were sponsored by businesses.  A team of horses pulling this float.
Another float.
This is a bigger float.  Three people in pink pig costumes.
A better picture of the three pigs.

Neal Stevens country floral.
The wind was blowing when I took this picture.
Two horses are loose on 300 south which is in front of our house.
Horse number two.
Both horses across the street from the Stephenson's.
This big leaf Linden tree had a lot of sucker branches.  I cut off all of them.  I also cut off a big branch off the plum tree.  I cut them into smaller pieces and put them in the back of the truck.
The truck is pretty full.  A trip to the dump tomorrow.
