New Clothes Washer

Carol was washing towels and clothes and a few other things.  The washer quit on the last spin.  I called Adam Remkes fixes appliances.  He came about an hour later and took the washer apart.  It would take about $350 to fix it, he said.  We decided to get a new washer.  We saw the washers at Ropers.  We picked out a Maytag washer.  They were going to deliver it, and install it, and take our old washer away.

It was a little after four when they came back.  They took the old washer out.  I cleaned the floor where the old washer had been.  The brought in the new one.  The hooked up the hot and cold water.  They plugged it in.  They then tested it to make sure that it would be running right.   Carol will wash the clothes in the morning.

As it was getting dark, the chickens were trying to fly out.  They flew to the top and it the netting and fell back to the ground.  When it got dark, I couldn't find any chickens in the chicken run.  There were five in the trees east of the hen house.  I caught them after it got dark.  One fell to the grass, and it set there until I grabbed it.  I found another place where they are getting out.
